Unita Rural Mobility in Romania!

🤝 Today we say “la revedere” to this wonderful group of UNITA - Universitas Montium students who pursued a 4 week UNITA Rural Mobility in Banat area, at “Tourist Information Center, Margina City Hall”, in collaboration with Universitatea de Vest din Timișoara.

🌳 Throughout the month of July they were involved in tourism and agro-tourism activities and provided support to the Tourist Information Center in their daily activities and operations.

🌾 During their rural mobility, the students were involved in various agro-tourism activities such as harvesting roses, harvesting lavender or organizing events, but also in heritage preservation activities.

🇷🇴 A key point of the mobility was also the opportunity to socialize with locals and get involved in the community life and culture of the rural territory that hosted them.

Multidisciplinary Program on Antiquity and its Legacy: « Cross Perspectives on Women and the Female Condition in Antiquity »

✨Objectives and Description:
For several decades, the history of women in Antiquity has seen significant growth. This intensive program examines the female condition in the Greco-Roman world through various sources (literature, laws, coins), disciplines (history, ancient literature, numismatics, epigraphy), with a particular focus on the Roman Empire. This multidisciplinary approach is aimed at master’s and doctoral students and is based on the most recent research in an international framework.

✨Methods and Results:
Participants will benefit from interdisciplinary lectures and seminars, and group work on case studies. They will acquire skills in the various sciences of Antiquity, including history, literature, epigraphy, and numismatics.

🎯 Target Audience: Master’s and doctoral students.

ECTS Credits: 6 ECTS

Languages of Instruction: French, Italian, Spanish (with materials written in English).

📌Université M'hamed Bougara Boumerdès was created in 1998 following the merger of 6 national institutes that were created in the 1970s.

The University is composed of 06 Faculties and 02 Institutes, Located on 05 sites.
- Our University has gradually put into practice the new LMD (Bachelor-Master-Doctorate) education architecture since 2004/2005. 78 Bachelor’s, 117 Master’s, 07 Engineer’s, and Medical Science courses are currently available in the various fields of science and technology. The language of instruction varies according to the discipline taught: French in science and technology; Arabic in law and economics, business and management; English in electrical and electronic engineering. The university has one unit and 28 research laboratory.

At the national level, the University of Boumerdes maintains regular relations with all higher education institutions; 92 agreements signed, including 60 with the socio-economic sector to strengthen the links between the University and its socio-cultural partners-economic through concrete actions.
Internationally, UMBB has established links with foreign institutions through 53 cooperation agreements. These relationships, constantly strengthened, allow the mobility of students, teachers and administrative and technical staff, and the sharing of good practices.

On Thursday, 18 candidates from 8 universities belonging to the UNITA alliance competed in the final of the second edition of My 3min PhD Thesis UNITA.

All the participants were able to take part in an intensive week of rehearsals (as a Blended Intensive Programme), consisting acting, communication and public speaking classes.

More than 100 staff were warmly welcomed to the Université de Pau et des Pays de l'Adour (UPPA) for three days of Research and Innovation Days.

The first day was marked by the final conference of the Research for UNITA (Re-UNITA) project, which started in September 2021. Rectors and vice-rectors, teacher-researchers and administrative staff renewed our shared desire to build a European University, to promote the circulation of knowledge, the sharing of our scientific resources and the development of new research collaborations.

The following two days provided an opportunity for the work packages to meet and have been important steps in our efforts to support development in rural, mountain, and cross-border territories through education, research, and innovation.

Our focus has been on :
🌍Creating networks with local innovation ecosystems to facilitate strategic knowledge sharing
🔬Promoting cooperative research by enhancing collaboration among alliance partners and inter-territorial research communities
🔧Sharing research infrastructure and related services ; ensuring that our partners have access to the resources they need
🎓Developing interconnected master and doctoral programs targeting alliance focus areas through research-based, practice-oriented, and industrial-based training.

The final of " My 3min PhD Thesis UNITA", it's this Thursday! 🤩🎤

18 PhD students from 10 different universities will have 3 minutes to give a convincing presentation on their thesis in a clear and concise way.

The students were welcomed this morning at the Université de Pau et des Pays de l'Adour. They will have the whole week to rehearse, take part in public speaking workshops and perfect the final details.

The Summer School is carried out in collaboration with the University Language Center (CLA-UNITO)
together with the Municipality of Turin.

experience in the Italian language and cuture : international or Erasmus incoming students, PhD students,
visiting professors as well as non-university participants, with no age limits and no specific admission requirements.

Classroom lessons are sided by cultural activities that enhance the learning experience.

The courses are planned for any level pf proficiency, from
beginner to advanced, and our highly experienced teachers of Italian create tailor-made programs to suit

😃 170 students departing soon for Erasmus and UNITA mobilities joined the event "Studying abroad: good practices for informed and sustainable mobility", organised at the Università degli Studi di Torino

🙌 The event involved a plenary information meeting for outgoing students and a green contest for students, engaged in collecting litter in the surroundings of the Campus Luigi Einaudi of UNITO: in 45 minutes 25 students collected 16 kilos of litter.

🌍 The event is presented in the framework of UNITA task 5.3 Green sustainability, devoted to promote the of UNITA by incorporating sustainability in education and research and by stimulating environmentally responsible behaviour among the academic community.

💥 The Federal University of Viçosa (UFV), a public and tuition-free Brazilian university established in 1926, traces its origins to the concept of the American Land Grant Colleges, initially focusing on Agriculture and Veterinary sciences before expanding into other areas.

🇪🇺The second day of the matching event "Internationalization of Curricula through UNITA" continued at the Institute for Advanced Environmental Research with the teamwork of the 28 working groups made up of event participants, academic staff from the 12 UNITA universities.

📚During the event sessions, the 28 working groups dedicated to specific scientific areas set up collaborative activities, courses and study programmes with the aim of providing an international learning experience to as many students as possible.

📍 The event concludes today with two plenary sessions to determine the next steps towards the implementation of the projects developed over the last two days in Timișoara.

🔜 The follow-up event will take place on 26-27 November 2024 at the West University of Timisoara, where all those who have made progress in internationalizing the curricula through this event will meet again.

🇷🇴200 academics from the 12 partner and associated universities of the UNITA Alliance gathered in the Aula Magna of the West University of Timisoara today, 5 June, for the start of the "Internationalization of Curricula through UNITA" event, now at its second edition.

"Internationalization of Curricula through UNITA" is taking place at the West University of Timisoara and the Institute for Advanced Environmental Research - ICAM on 5 and 6 June.

🇪🇺During the two days, teachers have the opportunity to get acquainted with the main models of internationalization of the curriculum in the UNITA European Alliance. Also, during the event sessions, the 28 working groups dedicated to specific scientific areas will have the opportunity to set up collaborative activities, courses and curricula with the aim of providing an international learning experience to as many students as possible.

📚The event is at its second edition, the first one taking place at the University of Turin in 2023, the increase in the number of participants from one year to the next and the growing interest of Alliance academics in this event shows that in the UNITA European Alliance, the community of academics interested in innovation in education through international collaborations is becoming more and more numerous and well consolidated.

🔗This type of community is the basis for future European Universities, UNITA being one of them.
