I.About Henan University of Traditional Chinese Medicine

Founded in 1958, Henan University of Chinese Medicine (HUCM) is one of the earliest higher education institutions of Chinese medicine in China. The university is located in Zhengzhou, the capital of Henan Province, China, and has five campuses. The university has a strong faculty, with 4 Chinese National Medical Masters (the highest honor in China's traditional Chinese medicine industry), 5 national talents, 1 Chief Scientist of the "Qihuang Project" for the inheritance and innovation of traditional Chinese medicine, 6 Qihuang Scholars, etc. The university has a total of 1,536 faculty members, 719 postgraduate supervisors, and 124 doctoral supervisors.

Henan University of Traditional Chinese Medicine (HUSTCM) is one of the Chinese government scholarship colleges of the Ministry of Education of China, and one of the government scholarship colleges of Henan Province, and has been officially admitting international students from all over the world since 1992. Currently, international students come from all over the world, including the United States, Switzerland, Italy, Russia, Germany, Uzbekistan, Austria, Hungary, New Zealand, Malaysia, Japan, Korea, Canada, Australia, etc. The University has developed international cooperation programs with other universities.

Henan University of Traditional Chinese Medicine has been carrying out international cooperation and exchanges for more than 40 years, and currently has international programs of cooperation and exchanges in the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Germany, Switzerland, Italy, Hungary, Australia, New Zealand, Japan, South Korea, Singapore, Malaysia, Ethiopia, Eritrea, Zambia, Sudan, Brazil and other countries. It has also cooperated and exchanged with more than 50 universities, scientific research and medical institutions and enterprises in the world in the areas of talent training, scientific research, medical services, product development and so on.

At present, Henan University of Traditional Chinese Medicine has successfully organized many overseas training groups of "Chinese + TCM Culture", "China Roots Journey", "Chinese Bridge" Summer Camp, "Foreign Native Chinese Teachers' Delegation", "Peer Miles", "Chinese Teachers' Delegation", and "China Roots Journey". Chinese and foreign exchange activities such as "Chinese Roots Journey", "Chinese Bridge" summer camp in China, foreign native Chinese teachers' delegation, and "Miles of Peers", etc. It also organizes "Advanced Training Course on International Development of Chinese Medicine and Training Course for Overseas Chinese Medicine Overseas Chinese Medicine Leaders".

II.Introduction of Henan Province, China

Henan Province of China, located in the middle and lower reaches of the Yellow River, is one of the birthplaces of ancient Chinese civilization, where human beings lived and reproduced as late as 500,000 years ago. Agriculture, animal husbandry and handicrafts such as pottery making were developed here during the Pei Ligang Culture period 7,000 to 8,000 years ago; and in the middle to late Longshan Culture period more than 4,000 years ago, the Central Plains entered the era of stone and copper tools.

Henan Province is also the important birthplace of the Chinese nation and the Huaxia civilization, and is the core area of China's Xia, Shang and Zhou civilizations, which laid the foundation for the continuous development of Chinese civilization. Chinese history, there have been more than 20 dynasties more than 200 emperors in Henan to build the capital. At present, Henan Province of China is the first in the country in terms of underground cultural relics and the second in terms of aboveground cultural relics, making it a major province in terms of cultural relics in the country.
Both Emperor Yan Di and Emperor Huang Di of Henan Province are the founders of Chinese medicine in China, and the culture of Chinese medicine originated and developed in Henan. Nanyang Zhang Zhongjing is honored as the "Sage of Medicine", and his masterpiece "Treatise on Typhoid Miscellaneous Diseases" is known as the treasure of Chinese medicine, which is renowned both at home and abroad. Zhang Congzheng, a native of Shangqiu, was one of the four most famous doctors of the Jin Dynasty.

Henan Province is the home of Kung Fu in China. Shaolin Temple（少林寺）, located on Songshan Mountain in Dengfeng City, Zhengzhou, Henan Province, is the source of Chinese Kung Fu and the ancestral home of Zen Buddhism. Chen Wangting, a native of Chenjiagou in Wen County, Jiaozuo, founded Taijiquan, the birthplace of Taijiquan in China.

White Horse Temple (白马寺) is located in Luoyang City, Henan Province. It was built in the 11th year of Yongping of the Eastern Han Dynasty (68 A.D.), and was the first government-run temple built after the introduction of Buddhism to China. The White Horse Temple spread Buddhism to the Korean Peninsula, Japan, and Southeast Asia, popularizing Buddhism in Asia, and then spreading it to Europe and the Americas, where it has become a holy place for Buddhist believers from all over the world to worship.
Longmen Grottoes (龙门石窟) is located in Luoyang City, Henan Province, is the world's most statues, the largest treasure trove of grotto art, was named by UNESCO as "China's highest peak of stone art", ranked first in China's major grottoes. Its grottoes were first excavated in 493 AD, flourished in the Tang Dynasty, and finally at the end of the Qing Dynasty. After more than 10 dynasties to build up to 1400 years, is the world's longest building time one of the grottoes. Existing caves like niche 2345, more than 110,000 statues, Longmen Grottoes statues are mostly built for royalty, is the world's only royal grottoes.

III. Introduction to the "Chinese Bridge" Online Group Exchange Program

The "Chinese Bridge" online group exchange program is a Chinese language and culture experience program set up by the Center for Sino-Foreign Language Exchange and Cooperation of the Ministry of Education of the People's Republic of China, aiming at stimulating the enthusiasm of overseas friends for Chinese language learning, meeting their needs for understanding Chinese language and culture, and further promoting overseas friends' understanding and experience of Chinese language and culture.

(1) Introduction of the 2024 " Chinese Bridge" Online Group Activity

Henan University of Traditional Chinese Medicine (HNUTM) invites Shenzhou University of Traditional Chinese Medicine (SUTCM) in the Netherlands to co-organize the 2024 "Chinese Bridge" online group exchange program. With the theme of "Telling stories of Chinese medicine and entering the world of Chinese medicine", the program aims to tell stories of Chinese medicine, interpret Chinese classics, promote Chinese culture, combine stories of Chinese medicine with Chinese language teaching, improve the Chinese language proficiency of overseas students, and deepen the students' understanding and knowledge of Chinese medicine culture, so as to lead the students to enter the marvelous world of Chinese medicine and to interpret Chinese The program includes The program includes: program opening ceremony, teacher-student meeting, learning about the origin of Chinese medicine legend, telling interesting stories about Chinese medicine, Chinese medicine and sports health, interpretation of Chinese medicine classics, Chinese medicine journey of international students, program results and closing ceremony.

(2) Introduction of International Summer Camp 2024 at Henan University of Traditional Chinese Medicine, China

You can register for the 2024 Henan University of Traditional Chinese Medicine International Summer Camp after participating in the online group activities of Chinese Bridge 2024, which will be organized by Henan University of Traditional Chinese Medicine. With the theme of "Entering China, Entering Chinese Medicine", the International Summer Camp will provide a valuable opportunity for international exchange for students of HCMU, Chinese medicine enthusiasts and Chinese language learners in Europe.

The summer camp activities will include Chinese medicine experts, Chinese medicine clinical practice, Chinese medicine health and sports, well-known attractions to visit. The camp will provide a learning environment for overseas Chinese medicine enthusiasts to experience Chinese culture and Chinese medicine in its original flavor, as well as an opportunity to learn Chinese medicine and Chinese language in depth, and to improve Chinese medicine enthusiasts' understanding of Chinese medicine and Chinese language.

Enrollment Requirements: Already participated in the 2024 online course.
