We’re honored to see our Capua 1880 Headquarters featured on Domusweb, highlighting the transformation of a former Coca-Cola plant into a modern hub for essential oil production, all in harmony with Calabria’s vibrant landscape.

This project is a testament to the collaborative spirit of , led by our founders Stefano Gri and Piero Zucchi, along with Arch. as project leader.

A special acknowledgment goes to Javier Callejas, whose photography captures the essence of our work with striking clarity.

We’re buzzing with excitement! Our Capua 1880 project just landed in the latest issue of The Plan Magazine - issue 155.

The GEZA team couldn’t wait to get their hands on the magazine and quickly turned into models for the day (Marta, Francesco, Caterina, and Manuel from ).

It’s thrilling to see the old Coca-Cola plant in Pellaro, Reggio Calabria, transformed into a cutting-edge production center for citrus essential oils, with breathtaking views of the Strait of Messina.

Highlights of Capua 1880? Think vibrant “green heart” Patio degli Aranci, an innovative facade system and architecture that blends seamlessly with its natural surroundings, offering stunning views of Mount Etna.

Our masterplan envisions a vibrant and sustainable future for Lignano Sabbiadoro, creating a new and iconic gateway to the city. On July 17th, we gathered to celebrate the centenary of ILCAM’s visionary founder, Tullio Zamò. Amidst the architectural beauty of the GEZA-designed headquarters, completed in 2023, we honored a legacy that has gracefully endured for a century.

The event was more than a reflection on the past; it was a vibrant tapestry of innovation and progress. With local politicians and distinguished guests in attendance, the celebration resonated with a spirit of community, pride, and boundless ambition for the future.

Our Stefano Gri, Piero Zucchi, and Stefania Anzil joined the festivities, adding to the joyous atmosphere. The day was filled with laughter, heartfelt moments, and a shared excitement for what lies ahead.

At the start of the year, we participated in the Chalupkova Bratislava Architecture & Urban Design Competition with our concept, Penta Diamonds.

This design aimed to revitalize and transform a disused industrial site into a flourishing new community, reflecting the vibrant urban life and future aspirations of Bratislava. These structures envisioned like diamonds, were intended to rise from the earth, capturing and refracting light to illuminate and add value to their surroundings.

Our vision for the Penta Diamonds project was to establish it as a focal point for urban regeneration, drawing together the city’s diverse paths into a central green heart. This space, designed as a large podium, was intended to facilitate urban flow and serve as a hub for public, commercial, and social events within a verdant environment. The architecture was planned to encourage social interaction and provide tranquil spaces, with each uniquely designed tower offering a distinctive city view.

Although our proposal was not realized, it remains a testament to GEZA’s commitment to integrating sustainable and innovative design into our architectural philosophy. This project exemplified our approach to creating spaces harmonizing with their environment and promoting community engagement.

Celebrating Our Special Mention at the A+Awards!
We are thrilled to announce that GEZA Architettura has received a Special Mention at the Architizer A+Awards for our Headquarters project! This recognition in the Factories and Warehouses category underscores our commitment to creating innovative and sustainable industrial spaces.

The Capua 1880 project, a regenerative transformation from a disused Coca-Cola factory to a production center of citrus essential oils, highlights our approach to sustainable industrial architecture. Located on the Calabrian coast, this redevelopment not only expands production capabilities but also introduces new lines for essential oil extraction and creates new representative environments for international clients.

Our design revolutionizes traditional concepts of industrial architecture by incorporating elements that foster transparency and connection with the environment. Key features include the creation of an orange tree patio, integrating nature into the industrial complex, and offering panoramic views of Mount Etna, providing a direct connection to the landscape.

Through careful reinterpretation of the site, we optimized industrial flows and introduced a new facade system that unites old and new structures under a single suspended skin. This grand gesture, utilizing basalt, aluminum, corten steel, travertine, alpine green marble, and concrete, creates a dynamic facade that changes throughout the day.

A few days ago, we announced the start of CO(L)LAB. But how did it come about?

Through Architecture, yes. But also through Photography. And relationships!

Through our friend Javier Callejas Photography, who so masterfully shot many of our projects, like Pratic and Capua 1880, and so many of SPASM Design Architects.

So, here’s a gallery to feast your eyes upon. And here’s a thank you to Javier for being our connection and setting this beautiful collaboration in motion.
