Per gli arredi sono stati scelti materiali che potessero dialogare con gli elementi architettonici dell’opera di Scarpa. I colori di tavoli e scaffalature in analogia con i profili in ferro si inseriscono in modo armonico nel contesto.

For the furniture, we preferred materials that could dialogue with the architectural elements of Scarpa's work. The colors of the tables and shelving, in analogy with the iron profiles, fit harmoniously into the context.

The studio promote a process of research for the valorization of the Venetian real estate heritage. The theoretical assumption underlying the research entitled "Artipelago" is to investigate within the field of studies on urban regeneration the creative recycling of the "waste" of significant temporary serial events with a cultural matrix as an intervention strategy in adaptive landscape reuse practices historically. The analysis considered the real estate assets hosting the Biennale's collateral events from 2010 to 2019.

Indagini su travi ammalorate

Nei progetti di recupero del patrimonio esistente, in particolare a Venezia, è fondamentale un'analisi dello stato di fatto. In questo caso abbiamo proceduto alla verifica dello stato di conservazione delle travi per definire eventuali interventi di consolidamento, andando ad utilizzare strumenti quali il resistografo.

Existing conditions analysis is fundamental in restoration projects, particularly in Venice. In this case, we verified the conservation state of the beams to define possible consolidation interventions using specific tools.

Rivestimenti e resistenza al fuoco

Il progetto architettonico deve racchiudere le soluzioni tecnologiche necessarie al rispetto delle normative, tra queste quella relativa alla prevenzione incendi.

The architectural design must incorporate the technological solutions necessary to comply with regulations, including fire prevention.

L'importanza dei colori e delle aperture negli edifici veneziani

Il patrimonio immobiliare veneziano presenta spesso edifici caratterizzati da ambienti interni bui o in ombra, a causa dello scarso apporto di luce tra unità immobiliari contigue. Lo studio delle superfici, dei colori, dei materiali e la collocazione degli infissi, diventano attività necessarie per creare degli spazi confortevoli e adeguatamente illuminati.

The Venetian real estate heritage often features buildings characterized by dark or shadowy interiors due to the scarce supply of light between adjoining units. The study of surfaces, colors, materials, and the placement of openings become necessary activities to create comfortable and adequately lit spaces.

A reference to venetian characters

I colori dell'installazione mostrano un forte richiamo ai caratteri veneziani, il blu riprende le tinte dell'acqua mentre il grigio si rifà alla pietra, uno dei materiali più utilizzati a Venezia.

The installation colors show a solid reference to Venetian characters; the blue echoes the hues of the water, while the grey harks back to stone, one of the most commonly used materials in Venice.

The inclusion context

"Out of the blue" è stata realizzata sul retro dell'area monumentale delle Tese, un sistema di magazzini storici collegati da grandi arcate. La scelta di utilizzare degli specchi deriva dalla posizione fronte laguna in cui l'installazione si trova.

"Out of the blue" was realized on the back of the monumental area of the Tese, a system of historical warehouses connected by large arches. The choice to use mirrors derives from the lagoon-facing position of the installation.
