Venice hosts Eu Modex 2024: from October 17 to 20, the European Civil Defense exercise will be held at the Venice Lido.

An intense disturbance, violent thunderstorms and flooding. Then a tornado that causes widespread land devastation. This is the emergency scenario that will see more than six hundred people engaged on some islands in the Lagoon as part of the European Civil Defense exercise Eu Modex Venice 2024.

Our company has made available free of charge the land where two field hospitals will be set up to simulate assistance to the wounded and victims.

The exercise will end at 12 noon on Sunday, Oct. 20; Monday, Oct. 21, the closing ceremony is scheduled at the Venice Lido.

The craftsmanship of Venetian artisans of glass turning into light.

From the creativity of Gian Paolo Venier and the technique of Siru comes a new glass design element.

Gian Paolo Venier, partner of Otto Studio, is a passionate traveler, constantly exploring faraway places to enrich his “design language.” An international interior designer, product designer and art director, he is known for a style that blends cosmopolitan elegance with a careful selection of materials and textures, resulting in bespoke creations with an identified character.

Such as the new glass handles, made by Siru from the designer's project and created using what is known as “plate working”: molten glass is poured into a mold to give it an initial shape. When the glass begins to cool and become semi-solid, it is transferred to a second mold where it acquires its final shape.

The end result is a handle with essential lines and an elegant and refined spirit, instrinsic characteristics that only a material like glass can give.
