414th Contracting Support Brigade

The 🇺🇸 414th Contracting Support Brigade 🇮🇹 had a successful Vendor's Day in Accra, Ghana! 🇬🇭 This event was hosted by SSG Salles Duarte and SSG Samuel Martin and was an excellent opportunity to engage with local businesses and potential contracting partners. It significantly expanding Ghana's vendor pool and strengthened the trust between the U.S. and Ghana.

Ther 414th CSB is grateful for the participation of all the vendors and appreciate the time and effort they dedicated to this event. Special thanks to SSG Samuel Martin for his attention to detail, patience, and unwavering dedication in assisting the vendors. The vendor day aimed to promote awareness and foster business relationships for future contracting
opportunities in support of military operations.

The 414th CSB Command Team, COL Isaac Torres, CSM Nadejda Vorobyeva-Santiago and Deputy Mr. Kelvin Magee, along with the RCO-Vicenza Director LTC Robert Kang, conducted a battlefield circulation in Livorno, Italy 🇮🇹 to meet with our incredible Livorno office personnel. During the visit, the Command Team warmly welcomed our new DAC, Mr. Solomon Cuenca, with a special welcome basket, and proudly recognized Mr. Brendan Deluca, Livorno Division Chief, for his outstanding 15 years of dedicated service. Additionally, the team met with the DMC Garrison Manager to discuss the potential growth of the Darby Military Community and future Army's Power Projection Platforms. A great day of collaboration and recognition!

We bid farewell to Mr. Nick Mueller's journeys and look forward to seeing him again soon. We'll make sure to save a seat for you.

The USA 🇺🇸 414th Contracting Support Brigade 🇮🇹 held a Vendor Day event in Senegal to engage local and international businesses for future contracting opportunities in support of U.S. Army Africa missions. Led by SSG Almany Tourre and MAJ Ruben Lopez, the event provided vendors with presentations, workshops, and networking opportunities to learn about U.S. Government contracting procedures and upcoming bid opportunities. By promoting local economic ties and cooperation, the Vendor Day event strengthened partnerships between the U.S. military and Senegal, contributing to both operational readiness and diplomatic relations.

MAJ Mohammed Saeed and SSG Umesh Maskey successfully hosted a Vendor's Day in Tunisia.🇹🇳
During the event, they connected with local businesses and potential contracting partners, providing them with valuable information about contracting opportunities with the U.S. Government. Overall, the event was a great success. They were able to increase the vendor pool to support the area of operations and initiated SAM/NCAGE/JCCS registration for all vendors who attended. The 🇺🇸 414th CSB 🇮🇹 looks forward to continuing to work with local businesses and building strong partnerships in the region.

The 414th CSB had the privilege of attending the inaugural gala of the Bolzano Vicentino community, where the spotlight was on the culinary arts of the region. Special guests of the evening included COL Isaac Torres, CSM Nadejda Vorobreyva-Santiago, Deputy Director Mr. Kelvin Magee, and Senior Italian Advisor Ms. Sebastiana Cappello. It was a night of celebration and cultural exchange that we were honored to be a part of.

On this day, we pause to remember and honor the lives lost on September 11, 2001. We will never forget the heroes, the courage, and the unity that emerged in the face of tragedy. Let us take a moment to reflect, to honor the memory of those we lost, and to stand together in solidarity.

This morning, the 414th CSB teamed up with local Alpini groups and the Order of Malta for the annual cleanup at Monte Berico Basilica in Vicenza, Italy. 🇮🇹 The city is getting the basilica ready for the upcoming patron saint festivities and the arrival of pilgrims from all over the region.

Off to Monte Berico for another day of ruck marching! Expert Soldier Badge here we come !

We are excited to welcome several new members to the 🇺🇸 414th CSB 🇮🇹 team! Join us in welcoming MAJ John Hohng from the 928th CBN/409th CSB, Mr. Brendan Deluca as the new division chief for the Livorno Division, Mr. Jamal Boubetana and Mr. Eric Goldsmth in the supply & services divisions, and SFC Andrew Parmalee in the Contract Administration Division. We hope you all have a fantastic experience with the top contracting brigade in the Army. Welcome aboard!

🇺🇸 The 414th CSB 🇮🇹 kicks off another morning of preparation for the Expert Soldier Badge! 💪 Candidates conducted the Expert Physical Fitness Assessment (EPFA) with the goal of completion in less than 26 minutes and 30 seconds. The EPFA consists of:

• 1-mile run
• 30 dead stop pushups
• 100-meter sprint
• 16x sandbag lifts onto a 65” platform
• 50-meter farmers carry consisting of two 40lbs kettlebells
• 25 meters high crawl
• 25 meters 3-5 second rushes
• 1-mile run

Teamwork makes the dream work! 💪⚽ The 🇺🇸 ACC CMD team and the 414th CSB 🇮🇹 joined forces for a soccer league match, with team Vittoria (Victory) claiming a hard-fought 3-2 victory. It was a great display of teamwork and camaraderie. Go team Vittoria! 🎉

MG Douglas Lowrey and CSM Rachel Harris kicked off their Area of Operations visit for Army Contracting Command with a stop at the 🇮🇹 414th CSB! During the visit, our Soldiers enjoyed a luncheon with the Command General and some of our team members were recognized for their outstanding performance during LCARS and the Spring Gala.

Getting ready for the Expert Soldier Badge hosted by the 173rd IBCT this fall! Our soldiers are training hard in physical fitness, marksmanship, land navigation, weapons, and medical triage. Today, they tackled a ruck march to Monte Berico in preparation for the 12-mile culminating event. Stay tuned for updates on their progress!

SSG Mohammed Gordon and SSG Victor Marrero from the 🇺🇸 414th CSB 🇮🇹 traveled to Gaborone, Botswana 🇧🇼 to assist US Army Southern European Task Force Africa (SETAF-AF) by providing contracting oversight for the joint exercise Southern Accord, sponsored by USAFRICOM.

Southern Accord is a bi-annual collaboration between the US Army and Botswana Defense Forces, focusing on disaster relief, humanitarian assistance, and peacekeeping operations. SSG Gordon and SSG Marrero worked on-site to ensure that the Basic Life Support requirements contracted for the exercise were met. They collaborated with logistics planners to enhance event specifications aligning them with performance objectives. The 414th CSB also provided in-person vendor education and expanded the prospective vendor base for future operations. Great work team!

Earlier this month, members of the 🇮🇹 414th CSB 🇺🇸 provided contracting support for AFRICOM's 2024 Africa Endeavor Senior Leader Communications Symposium in Livingstong, Zambia 🇿🇲. The symposium focused on improving training and workforce development for armed forces' communication capabilities. Industry exhibitors showcased emerging technologies and attendees had the opportunity to network with senior communicators from Africa and USAFRICOM. SSG Umesh Maskey and Ms. Francesca Zotto ensured contracting oversight and performance at the hotel, conference venue, and technology exposition location.
