How many treatments does it take to remove hair from the bikini area? I asked Loraine Doherty, our accreditted trainer to answer this as I had a complaint from a client when all the hair hadn’t gone after 8 sessions.

“We both know that hair reduction is completely up to the body we are working on, hormones, diet, stress, medication and other factors. All can play their part in the number of treatments a client will require, which is why we sell in a course of 8 knowing 6 will not be enough and with the understanding that 8 may not complete an area for the client. In fact we always discuss the need possibly of a maintenance program afterwards dependent on age and the above set out factors.

Most clients appreciate and have already researched the hair growth cycles and have understood now that the body works differently in each case. I know that within our education we have consciously included always the emphasis on the expectation of the client and we never give a definitive end for hair removal.

It’s very unfortunate that this client obviously had expectations beyond anything on the market or any other therapy could possibly deliver!
