FOUNDATION 'PERSON OF THE YEAR'

I am pleased to announce the 2024 ActionCOACH Foundation 'Person of the Year' as Marcia Woon-Choy from ActionCOACH Jamaica.

I have had the great pleasure of working with Marcia since the very first year of the YESS Young Entrepreneur Smart Start program. To begin, she simply shared the application link within her community and supported those students who went on to graduate with honors.

On the heels of her initial success, Marcia created her own Jamaican cohort, consistently offering courses throughout 2022 and 2023...leading the first few herself, and later helping her team get certified to facilitate.

Then, with her capable team at the helm, in 2024, ActionCOACH Jamaica added two Jamaican school cohorts to their list of successful programs, this time working with local educators to integrate the content into the school curriculum.

Fully 28% of the Jamaican graduates have won awards for Best Vision Board, Best Business Plan and/or Best Video Pitch. And I know that Marcia and her team aren't stopping there.

Thank you, Marcia, for all you have done as an ambassador, facilitator and coach mentor to empower and help create brighter futures for young entrepreneurs and under-privileged students throughout Jamaica.
