The growing number of overweight people is putting a strain on the health care system in an effort to deal with the health issues involved. Some people think that the best way to deal with this problem is to introduce more physical lessons in the school curriculum. To what extent do you agree or disagree?

The burden on the healthcare system is a result of the increasing number of obese people, which has caused many health problems. Some people believe that introducing more sports and exercise lessons in the school program may seem effective to solve the problem. This essay agrees with the aforementioned solution for a couple of reasons, which will be explained in the following paragraphs.

Firstly, physical education classes have proved to be an authentic way to maintain a healthy body weight. The activity and the movement during these classes play a major role in reducing excess fat tissues that cause overweight. At the moment, the average child in Arab countries possibly does exercise two times a week, which may seem not enough to counteract obesity. Therefore, it is recommended to increase these lessons in the school curriculum.

Secondly, obesity is detrimental to our health, which may lead to several health problems. A significant number of articles show that overweight is a predominant risk factor for cardiovascular and peripheral vascular diseases and dealing with them will ultimately enlarge the burden on the healthcare systems. Therefore, many physicians recommend performing exercises to reduce weight and avert any repercussions from this ailment. From this point, adding more physical education classes in school programs is a preventive measure to tackle this issue.

In conclusion, problems pertinent to obesity cause a heavy load on the healthcare system. Therefore, incorporating more physical education lessons in the school curriculum is thought to be a favourable method to solve this problem.
