LONG HAIR
Traditionally, long hair was always a symbol of masculinity. All of history's great warriors had long hair, from the Greeks (who wrote odes to their heroes' hair) to the Nordic, from the American Indians (famous for their long shiny hair) to the Japanese. And the longer and beautiful the hair was, the more manly the warrior was considered. Vikings flaunted their braids and samurai wore their long hair as a symbol of their honor (they cut their braid when they lose honor).
When a warrior was captured, his mane was cut to humiliate him, to take away his beauty. That custom resumed in what is today military service. There when new soldiers begin their training the first thing they do is cut their hair to undermine their self-esteem, make them submissive and make them see who's boss.
The Romans were the ones who "invented" short hair so to speak, between the 1st and 5th centuries AD.. In battles they believed this gave them defensive advantages, since their opponents couldn't grab them by the hair. This also helped them to recognize each other in the battlefield.
Short hair on men is a relatively new "invention" that has nothing to do with aesthetics.
But today we often see men being humiliated, sometimes called "gay" for wearing long hair, not knowing that short hair is actually the "anti-masculine" and is a repressive social imposition, while long hair symbolizes freedom.

UVMune 400, powered by the active Mexoryl 400 (INCI: Not Provided), is reportedly L’Oréal’s first sun-filtering technology to effectively protect the skin against ultra-long UVA rays—which according to the company, are the 30% of solar rays that, thus far, have been insufficiently filtered. This helps to prevent deep sun-induced skin damage.

L'Oréal reports it took 10 years of research to design the performance engine, Mexoryl 400 filter and patent. The work has been the subject of six scientific publications. According to the company, with UVMune 400, the solar filtration range is increased by 20 nm. Notably, Mexoryl 400 also has been designed with an improved environmental profile.

UVMune 400 is now available in the La Roche-Posay Anthelios franchise, the first brand from L'Oréal to use the technology. Anthelios UVMune 400 has been shown to shield against deep cell damage, which is linked to signs of premature aging and to prevent DNA lesions, which may lead to skin cancer. Tested on all skin types and phototypes, Anthelios UVMune 400 was launched in pharmacies in March 2022 and is available as either Invisible Fluid SPF 50+ or Hydrating Cream SPF 50+.

"Our L’Oréal R&I teams have successfully risen to the real scientific challenge of inventing a sun filtering technology to cover the UVA zone that was, so far, less covered," said Barbara Lavernos, deputy CEO in charge of research, innovation and technology at L'Oréal. "This allows us to provide our broadest filtration and protect the skin from the damaging effects of the sun; even the most insidious. A week after Revlon announced it had filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy, Indian conglomerate Reliance Industries is reportedly considering buying out the brand, according to The Indian Express. Details of the potential purchase were not disclosed.

As previously reported by Global Cosmetic Industry, the Chapter 11 filing will allow Revlon to strategically reorganize its legacy capital structure and improve its long-term outlook, especially amid liquidity constraints brought on by continued global challenges, including supply chain disruption and rising inflation, as well as obligations to its lenders.

Revlon is struggling to pay off more than $3 billion in debit, half of which is due by 2024.
