MIYAKO ISLAND ROCK FESTIVAL 2017

Three hundred kilometers southwest of Okinawa lies the tranquil paradise of Miyako-Jima. Considered as one of Japans most beautiful places, it is the perfect getaway. Not only that, it is home to an annual Rock Festival, right there next to the turquoise blue waters.

Kandamyujin Takigi-noh - Yugen no Hana 'Atsumori'
The enchanting chanted drama of noh is presented in its purity this year at the Kanda Shrine (Kandamyojin). Centuries of Japanese history through the strictly codified and regulated art form featuring song, drama, actors, gesturing and minimal props on a specially crafted stage, are expressed subtly as are the traditional folk tales and supernatural characters.
