🎉 Farewell and Cheers to Our Amazing Guest! 🎉

Today we say goodbye to Fabien-san, who just checked out of our share house.
It’s been fantastic having him stay with us all the way from France, and we wanted to share some fun highlights from his visit! 🌟

This was Fabien-san’s third time in Japan, and he chose SAKURA HOUSE SENDAGAYA for its close proximity to school and affordable rent. 📚🏠 He admitted he didn't cook a single meal during his stay—he was too busy exploring Tokyo’s incredible food scene! 🍣🍜 For those who do like to cook, he recommended the nearby OK supermarket for groceries. 🛒

He’s a big fan of karaage (Japanese fried chicken) and said the best he had was at a festival. 🍗🎊 Speaking of festivals, Fabien-san truly embraced the festival spirit, attending over 10 festivals and even witnessing an omikoshi (portable shrine). He’s definitely a festival aficionado! 🥳

One of the quirkiest things about his stay was his love for Donpen-kun, the mascot from Don Quijote. 🦄🛒 Fabien-san was so enamored with Donpen-kun that he had his birthday marked on his phone calendar! 🎂

During his time in our 4-person room, he made some great friends, and the connections kept growing as he met friends of friends, expanding his social circle even further. 👫👬

When Fabien-san comes back to Japan, he’s excited to explore Niigata next.
I also share my own experiences and recommendations about Niigata with him, where I used to live. 🌟 I’m looking forward to the day we can chat about all the wonderful things Niigata😄

We hope to see him again soon!

Both properties are unique in that they are 20mins to Shinjuku and Shibuya, but also Shimokitazawa, a popular neighbourhood in Tokyo famous for its indie, underground culture.

visited our SAKURA HOUSE SHINAGAWA OIMACHI apartment complex for the first time today and i LOVE the vibe of the town 🏯🇯🇵🗾

it’s in shingawa so super good access to the rest of tokyo via the JR Keihin-Tohoku line and a quick train line change at the next stop Shinagawa station but there’s also so much to do without leaving the area - so many bars and restaurants, gyms and shopping centres 🎤

i think new residents will be very impressed with the interior of the rooms as well 😏 very modest, very mindful, very demure 💅

📍 Exploring Tabata: Where Tradition Meets Modernity

Hello everyone! A few days ago I had the pleasure of visiting our vibrant share houses in Tabata - a stop in the JR Yamanote line, and a charming neighborhood where modern living meets rich local history. 🌟

Strolling through the area, it was so interesting to see how old, local houses mixed with new, modern constructions, standing alongside small shops and restaurants, and creating a dynamic, walkable community that's a delight to explore. 🏙️✨

During my visit I stopped by SAKURA HOUSE TABATA C - Guesthouse. I had a lovely chat with one of our Sri Lankan residents who was cooking a traditional dish from her homeland. 🍛 Although she was a bit shy about being in the photos, she graciously allowed me to capture her delicious cooking. 😋
