Climate Change continues to pose a potential threat to our food system, ecosystem & livelihoods. Communities need to embrace and adopt Climate-smart agriculture (CSA) to reduce this vulnerability. However, Climate-smart agricultural knowledge still remains a gap among many smallholder farmers accelerating the vulnerability.

Our organization sets the pace by implementing CSA and resilience practices at our model climate smart demo farm, providing hands-on training on CSA.

Climate Change poses serious threats to our nutrition and endangers our food basket.

The establishment of a Community Agricultural Climate Smart Demo farm is on course at Kiliti/Kowuor village in Ombeyi Ward, Kisumu County.
We invite community members and youths to visit our site and learn about climate smart agricultural practices.

Our event brought together government staffs, SMEs, Financial Institutions, Civil Society Organizations and Farmers. Farmers could not hide their joy and asked for more of such trainings to be organized!

As farming communities strive to overcome poverty and advance economic growth, Climate change threatens to deepen vulnerabilities, erode hard-won gains and seriously undermine prospects for development. There is therefore the need for concerted efforts toward tackling this menace and enhancing access to agricultural information.

Food insecurity is the new norm and a bitter reality that some if us have to live with. The situation continues to worsen as a result of climate change risks and low innovation.
At Gracious Mission we promote Climate Smart Agriculture and local innovation in order to address the food insecurity in the community. Women and youth can now enjoy organic veges from their Kitchen Garden courtesy of Mission

We are pleased to be participating in a Community Participatory Climate Risk Assessment for Ombeyi and Miwani wards, Muhoroni sub-county, KISUMU. This was a 3 days exercise aimed at informing the development of Climate Action Plan and the implementation of Locally Led Climate Change Adaptation Projects (FLOCCA Fund).

Our organization is keen in supporting our community members in this space towards building a climate resilience community.

Today, 9th December, 2022 our organization led by our team of experts, conducted a farmers' field school training on best agronomic practices for rice and nduma farmers.
We also explored ways of strengthening the farmers' groups and marketing strategies.

We were also joined by the county officials - Village Admins, Sub-county agricultural officer among other stakeholders.

Today, 7th November, 2022, our organization had the pleasure of hosting an International Agricultural Organization - Agriterra at our office. We were also joined by four local CBOs - Arise & Shine Care Center - Kenya Smiling Together CBO Jiamini CBO Nepawwa Hill Of Bells Community Based Organization and 3 self-help groups.

Agriterra is mapping community organizations and groups which are practicing select agricultural value chains with the aim of supporting climate resilience agribusiness.
