Afternoon fathers day gifts. .

A happy mothers day from us at Eunique Farms.

We wish Mr. Ngunyi the best as he starts the journey. It gives us joy to walk with a farmer who just came along for a Farm visit and ended up getting quality stocks from our farm.

The Farm achieved the 3rd generation in its breeding. This is a great milestone in our breeding plan for the next 5 years. We thank God for the far we have come.

Pig nutrition

Nutrition is a very important aspect of livestock production or farming because it determines the feed that animals need to eat, influences the important body functions, affects the performance of animals and it’s a major factor that must be considered when formulating feed. For pigs to perform optimally in terms of growth, body weight, reproduction, and health, they must be fed with the appropriate and balanced feed containing all required nutrient. The following are the nutritional requirement for pigs at different stages of production.

Nutritional Requirements of Piglet
Energy: 2400 – 2600 kcal
Crude Protein (CP): 18%
Fat: 3.0%
Crude Fibre: 3% – 4%
Calcium (Ca): 0.45%
Phosphorus (P): 0.30%

Nutritional Requirements of Grower Pigs
Energy: 2400 – 2500 kcal
Crude Protein (CP): 14 – 16%
Fat: 3%
Crude Fibre: 4.5 – 5%
Calcium (Ca): 0.4 – 0.5%
Phosphorus (P): 0.45%

Nutritional Requirements of Breeder Pig
Energy: 2400 – 2500 kcal
Crude Protein (CP): 16 – 18%
Fat: 3 – 4%
Crude Fibre: 3 – 4%
Calcium (Ca): 0.4 – 0.6%
Phosphorus (P): 0.4 – 0.5%
