Our GBV Committee today had Health Talks as a curtain raiser to the activities geared towards the 16 Days of Activism Against GBV Campaign by reaching out to the Adolescent Girls who visited our offices today .For the next 3 weeks we will be engaging both Adolescent Girls/ Boys and other sectors in our Campaign outreaches .

Our Gender Desk Officer , Madam Alice Munyendo is representing group 5 during the plenary session on how to fill in the Access To Information Request Form !

Making Article 35 a reality in our communities!

We are being represented in the Access To Information Training at the Jumuia Hotel by one of our Gender Desk Officer(GDO), Alice Munyendo.
The Training has been organized by Katiba Institute and the Social Justice Centres Working Group with support from the Royal Norwegian Embassy .

Through the invitation by Tembea Youth Centre for Sustainable Development, two of our Youths are representing us in the 3 days Budget Advocacy Training at the Rockwell Hotel , Kisumu .

We were honoured to host the National Convenor, Comrade Wilfred Olal , Western Chapter Convenor, Comrade Collins Kodhek and Winam Community SJC Convenor, Comrade Annette Diana during their Impromptu visit to our centre today evening .

Our Centre was represented in the 2 days training to review on the Challenges that HRDs in the Social Justice Centres encounter and how to mitigate the same in the cause of their work .
The training at the Wigot Gardens Hotel was organized by Western Chapter SJCs Working Group and facilitated by the Peace Brigade International-Kenya.

Human Rights Defenders work of Monitoring, Documentation and Reporting on Human Rights Violations especially during electioneering period is key in ensuring a just society!
It is against this background that the Social Justice Centres leadership from various regions are having a Conversation at the Fish Eagle Inn , Naivasha with Kenya National Commission of Human Rights and the IEBC on Election Preparedness and the role of HRDs on the same.
