Exciting News for Travelers to Botswana! Ethiopian Airlines Launches New Passenger Flights to Maun!

We are thrilled to announce that Ethiopian Airlines will commence passenger flight operations to and from MUB Maun, Botswana, starting from June 10, 2024 via Luanda, Angola. There will be a brief one-hour stop in Luanda; however, passengers will stay on the plane during this layover. This exciting development will offer travelers even more options to explore the breathtaking beauty of Botswana and its incredible wildlife.

Africa's Eden

We’re excited to share our latest paper on the ecology of nesting sea turtles in Kenya. Huge thanks to the University of Exeter for the support, our brilliant scientific advisor Casper van de Geer and all that contributed.

The study reveals that nests laid in Watamu National Park (believed to be one of the most crucial nesting beaches in Kenya) has increased by 50% over the past two decades. Our direct-action programme has effectively protected sea turtles, significantly reduced the poaching of adults and eggs within the park, reinforcing the need for longterm, continious monitoring. This also ensured the beach was protected as a viable natural nesting site, with cooperation from local beach front residents.

This paper is the result of a long-term collaboration between and Local Ocean Conservation based on data collected by our team over the past two decades.
