Wildlife N Humanitarian Photographer ;Voice for the Voiceless Photography gives us the power to create history at our fingertips. Hi….!!!
There’s something incredibly special about freezing time; freezing those moments that will almost never exist again. It tells us great stories of war and peace, of sorrow and joy, it reminds us about our failures yet it constantly thrusts us to triumph. It’s an ever-present reminder of our accomplishments and how far we’ve come. I am Geetika Singh, A Travel photographer, Humanitarian, and Wildlife

European Bee Eater in flight mode

European Bee Eater ~Merops apiaster ,UAE
Frequency spotting in UAE is 5.2% in the month of April.
They are near passerine bird and strongly migratory being summer migrants &breeding visitors to UAE .
Spectacularly colourful & unmistakable long billed insect eater with a bright yellow throat ,gem stone belly & flame_ colored back.
You’re probably wondering how they avoid getting stung. After all, what animal eats bees? They happen to have a very interesting hunting approach. They swoop in from an elevated perch and catch their prey in flight. They then fly back to the perch where they repeatedly thrash the insect against a branch or rub it against a twig until the sting is removed. They are also able to regurgitate indigestible parts as pellets.singh.photography

When Nature Surprises Me Unexpectedly !!
Almost , I skipped a heartbeat &my heart soared with excitement as I realized what lay before me ~ The Pallid Scops Owl (Otus brucei) , a creature of myth and legend in all its glory when who was parched majestically on a towry ghaf tree .
Revered for its elusive nature and masterful camouflage, encountering this majestic bird of prey amidst the harsh desert n dry environment is a rare and cherished privilege & a kin to finding a needle in a hay stake.
As I observed the Pallid scops owl in its natural habitat,a sense of wonder washed over me .
Its graceful movements, its silent flight, its keen gaze—all speak of a life lived in harmony with the desert landscape, a testament to the resilience and adaptability of life in one of the world’s harshest environments.
One of the greatest challenges in locating the
Pallid Scop Owl ,I found is in its mastery of camouflage & it’s elusive nature .With its sandy brown and tawny feathers adorned with intricate patterns of streaks and spots, the owl effortlessly disappears into the desert backdrop, becoming virtually indistinguishable from the rocks, sand, and sparse vegetation that define its habitat.
For me the joy of spotting the Pallid Scop Owl in the UAE’s desert landscape is an unparalleled experience .The time stood still & nothing short of magical moment to me .
For in that fleeting encounter, I found not only a rare & beautiful creature but also a deeper connection to the natural world & the endless mysteries it holds .
As I bid farewell to this beauty , I knew that this moment would stay with me forever discovering the Phalid Scoop Owl in the UAE ‘s desert wilderness .

My Exceptional love for Snakes n here’s the one I adore for his bold beautiful eyes 🖤
Although they possess no true “fangs” for venom injection, their saliva is known to be quite toxic ,Jackson’s forest cobra (Pseudohaje Goldie) a species of venomous snake found in Central Africa. They have distinctively bold eyes and are arboreal, meaning they spend a lot of time in trees.
An excellent climber, ascending high into trees, to 30m or more.
They are close cousins to both Thelatornis and Dispholidus and have been discovered to possess a similar hemorrhagic venom as their deadly cousins.

Butterflies Drink From Mud Puddles
A butterfly cannot live on sugar alone; it needs minerals, too. To supplement its diet of nectar, a butterfly will occasionally sip from mud puddles, which are rich in minerals and salts. This behavior, called puddling, occurs more often in male butterflies, which incorporate the minerals into their s***m.
These nutrients are then transferred to the female during mating and help improve the viability of her eggs.
