A crowd-pleasing meal in one with our pantry quinoa and raisins. It’s the perfect cross between a fresh grain salad and homely rice meal.
Make ahead and serve at room temperature.
Ingredients:
1 cup Artcaffé Market quinoa, well-rinsed and drained
1 tablespoon extra-virgin olive oil
1 cup chopped green onions (about 6)
13/4 cups water
1/2 cup Artcaffé Market raisins
1 teaspoon lemon zest
2 tablespoons lemon juice
2 cups grated zucchini
4 tablespoons toasted Artcaffé Market sesame seeds
4 tablespoons chopped fresh dill
3/4 teaspoon fine sea salt
1/4 teaspoon freshly ground pepper
Method:
1. Heat olive oil in a medium saucepan over medium heat. Add the green onions and 1/4 teaspoon of the salt and cook, stirring frequently, until the dark green parts wilt but do not turn brown, (2mins).
2. Add the quinoa and cook, stirring occasionally, until the grains start to crackle and turn dry (3mins).
3. Add the water, the raisins, and the remaining 1/2 teaspoon salt; bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer until the water is absorbed.
4. To finish, remove the pan from the heat. Stir the zucchini, lemon juice and zest, 2 tablespoons of the sesame seeds, 2 tablespoons of the dill, and the pepper into the quinoa. Taste and adjust for salt and pepper. Cover and let sit for 3 minutes.
5. Transfer the quinoa to a serving bowl, sprinkle with the remaining sesame seeds and dill.

1/2 cup milk
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
Pinch of freshly grated nutmeg
2 1/2 tablespoons unsalted butter
4 (3/4-inch-thick) slices of Art Challah (you can opt for our raisin version too)
Warm pure maple syrup, for serving
Method:
In a medium shallow baking dish or bowl, beat eggs with milk, cinnamon, vanilla, and nutmeg until blended.

Oh-so-tender, Picanha steak.
It is a tender and juicy cut of beef from the rump section of the cow. It has a thick layer of fat called the fat cap that lends it an incredible natural flavour. If you’ve not yet discovered our prime-aged Picanha steak, it is simply divine and a must try this weekend. It is the perfect cut for the grill so whether you’re firing up your BBQ or using the stove top, follow our easy tips for perfect cooking.
🥩 Slice your cut of picanha into individual steaks. Season generously with salt, then rest at room temperature for 45 minutes before grilling.
🥩 Heat up the charcoal grill or preheat your cooker to high. Spray the grates with oil.
🥩 Place steak on grill, searing for 2-3 minutes. Then, flip to the other side to sear.
🥩 Reduce the heat to low or move steaks to a side of the grill with indirect heat.
Allow to cook for another 5-10 minutes until they reach your desired doneness (use a meat thermometer to guide you).
🥩 Remove from grill and rest on a cutting board for 5 minutes before serving.
Is avocado toast simply the best breakfast out there? We’d say it’s pretty close. We’ve tried and tested many recipes and found a few top tips to guarantee a taste burst that’s perfect every time.
🥑 Mash your ripe avocado with a fork, don’t slice it. The riper the avocado, the better the taste, and the mashing will only give it a creamier taste.
🥑 Squeeze some lime over the mashed avocado. The acidic balance elevates the taste of creamy avocado.
🥑 Take it to the next level with some fresh herbs, we think coriander works wonders. But you can also use basil or oregano. A sprinkling of rock salt and coarsely ground pepper (Bart’s pink peppercorns are a great alternative) to finish off.

When you want to eat something homey and comforting, roast chicken hits the spot. Our deli selection always has the perfect roast on-hand. But sometimes, your inner chef comes alive, and you feel the urge to cook up a Sunday roast yourself. Here’s a few of our basic tips to get your going.
🍗 Since chicken is the main ingredient, opt for the best quality. Always go for a chicken that has firm flesh and a meaty, plump look. Our Market selection is pasture-raised guaranteeing you flavour and quality.
🍗 Salt will help cure the meat. Up to a day before roasting, rinse and cover the meat with a thin layer of salt. This will pull the liquid from the meat, so your bird will be juicy and tasty all the way through. Just rinse the excess salt before cooking.
🍗 Add some aromatics. You can add herb butter into the skin pockets to enhance between the meat and the skin.
🍗 Use a cast-iron pan to get an evenly cooked roast and crispy skin. Cast-iron has the best heat retention.
🍗 Rest the roast. Before carving, let it sit for 20mins to reabsorb all that liquid for a delicious taste
