A few days ago I saw someone asking what to do with mtumba "dead stock". Personally sipendi kuiita dead stock cz it can be transformed to sth else. Now here comes passion and creativity.
A while back an admin asked what u would do with 10k if given. Tulipeana ideas mob but I want to share mine. At the moment mine is just an idea cz nimelemewa kubuy sewing machine. Having a special needs kid is a Hussle everyday n at times pesa Iko na matumizi mob.
So let me share my idea. If you are one CREATIVE (very creative) and PASSIONATE person this could be for u.
1. Mtumba hutoa very huge clothes at times. You see those jeans trousers unashangaa zitatosha nani. Chukua. Mostly u will find wanauza not more than 50 cz they believe haitapata mtu (most of them not all). Those can make you very nice simple pillow covers.
2. Shirts. This oversized shirts can also make good throw pillow covers. Also kwa hio shirt you can cut and sew girls dresses.
3. Those big trousers, skirts, shirts can make bags. Slings, school bags, pencil pouches, makeup bags etc etc.
4. Those who love embroidery. Hizi mabedsheets u can cut and embroider pillow covers
5. Quilting. Hizo manguo if u cut pieces and mix up colours u can do very good quilting.
Most importantly make you tube and Pinterest your good friend.
Otherwise mtu anaeza kua na machine hatumii anaweza nibarikie nayo.
Anyway I hope this helps someone. Nothing is easy but someone once told me "if you do what you love passionately, the money follows easy".
You see am a believer that if there is passion in what you do, ata uanguke mara ngapi u will always find the strength to stand up cz u have a drive.
Siku njema.
START A BHAJIA BUSINESS WITH ONLY 1000 /=
So, yesterday after kuoga na kurudi soko niliamua kufika 'soko mjinga'.
One goes for 25bob.
What a perfect time to start a roadside bhajia side hustle.
Tutahitaji 8 kasukus za waru.
Wacha tucheki k**a it's a profitable venture:
To make bhajia's hizi ndizo costs;
1. Food colour/ Tumeric - sh. 50
2. Wheat Flour (1kg) - sh. 100
3. Potatoes (8ร25) - sh. 200
4. Makaa / firewood - sh. 100
5. Tomato sauce - sh. 100
6. Kachumbari - sh. 100
7. Cooking oil (ya kupima) - sh. 200
8. Khaki packaging bags - sh. 100
9. Kanjoo - sh. 50
Total inakuja - sh. 1000
Now, nilicount nkaona, 1 kasuku iko na 5 big big potatoes. Na kwa waru moja kubwa kunaeza toka 10 bhajias.
Where I come from, Bhajia moja huuzwa 5 bob.
Hence;
1 Kasuku itatupea 5ร10ร5 = 250 shillings.
Na we have 8 kasukus, kwa hivyo pesa tutapata hio day ni;
8ร250 = sh.2000
Profits time,
Profit= sales(pesa tumepata) - Costs
Sh. 2000 - sh. 1000 = sh.1000 (profit)
Location muhimu, tafuta mahali kuko busy na mahali hakuna competition kubwa. Eg. Place bhajia bado hazijafika.
Wale wa chumvi, viberiti etc, tumia what you have at home. K**a huna pan pika na sufuria halafu uzihawk.
NB: This is just an estimate.
Kaa bado unadhani nimekazoza we endelea kudhani, wengine wetu tuzidi kusaka hii ganji.
Ideas napeana ni za kusaidia msee amekwama, hana pesa mob ya kuanzisha biashara na ako willing kujituma badala ya kucomplain.
Kuwa SMART, jijenge.

โWhen Allyson Felix became pregnant, Nike was prepared to cut the terms of Felix's endorsement by as much as 70% due to the pregnancy and told her to โknow your place and just run.โ
Amid all of this, she was forced to have an emergency c-section seven months into her pregnancy because of a potentially life-threatening condition and her baby had to live for more than a month in the NICU. But two years later sheโs qualified for her fifth Olympics with her daughter watching.
Felix dropped Nike and created her own brand of running shoes, the Saysh One. She is currently running in the Olympics in Japan wearing them under the banner โI Know My Placeโ.
With 11 medals now, she passed Carl Lewis this summer for the most track and field medals by an American in history!

Earning from your gifts, talents and hobbies.
When I say that everything you need is within you and you came in with it I mean exactly that. Let me start by saying all my income earning/ earning potential is from my hobbies, gifts and talents. When I worked in church it was my gift of public speaking and singing/ music production that earned me an income, I never went to school to learn music, I never went to school to learn to deliver a message on the pulpit I was born with that, my movie shop is because of my love of film ( movies series, documentaries) My readings and coaching is because of my desire to help others with their struggles and my utter fascination with mystical topics like Astrology and Human design, my upcoming food business is from my desire to find solutions where there is need huku gicagi. The work I do and gives me coins I never went to school for. Don't get me wrong school is important it offers us other skills that are necessary to navigate this world. But education and schooling is conditioning that will most likely move you far from your innate gifts and talents if you are not self aware. That's why most of you are unfulfilled in your careers because you are not aligned. If you were in your correct place of gifting you would feel fulfillment and a sense of satisfaction which most people dont. It's a grind just to pay bills.
It is also the reason most of you don't feel abundant even if you are making a reasonable amount of money there is that gripping choking urge to want more because you don't feel satisfied, the sense of abundance and fulfillment within from your work hence the obsession with the large pay cheque to fill that emptiness. Hey don't get me wrong I have nothing against large pay cheques they are great. Go for it.
My challenge to you is. Find your innate gifting before the conditioning...... find a way to incorporate it into your 9 to 5 as a part time or a side hustle, see how it goes. How do you find your innate gifting? that's easy, what do you enjoy doing ? Hobbies ? . You can turn that into an income.
Do it ......let me know how it goes

HOW KENYANS GET CONNED INTO BUYING CHEAP "WILDERNESS" PLOTS
โSomewhere far from Nairobi , there is cheap barren wilderness lying Idle .Then K**anu of K**anu Properties Ltd gets wind of it from his โinvestment scouts โ .
K**anu buys 2 Acres of the land for Sh. 200,000 per acre from the peasant owner pretending to be working for a church based NGO. K**anu Subdivides the land into 14 plots .
He plans to sell each plot for Sh. 350,000 . If each plot is bought ,K**anu will make a kill of Sh. 4.5 million. But how will he sell the plots in the middle of nowhere? And to who?
Lease a 42 Seater bus and fill it with 20 fake buyers. Each fake buyer is supposed to come with one potential buyer amounting to 20 potential buyers . The fooling line is โTRANSPORT AND FOOD IS FREE โ Each fake buyer is paid Sh. 5,000 per trip.
In total K**anu spends roughly Sh. 140,000 per trip , that includes transport, food and fake buyersโ fees.
On site, the fake buyers are supposed to โshow a lot of interest on the plots โ and the majority will buy quickly, giving out fake cheques to K**anu on the point for full amount of Sh. 350,000 .
The target is to have at least 2 potential buyers duped into buying the plots . In total, K**anu plans to have at most 7 such trips with different potential buyers but same fake ones. At the end K**anu will have spent a total of roughly Sh. 1.4 million, including the price of the land and fake trips , Making a profit of Sh. 3.5 million within 2 months .
Whatever the buyers will do with those pieces of wilderness, itโs none of K**anuโs business.โ
"I Met My Engineering Classmate Riding Keke Five Years After Graduation"
Dayo and Rukayat Studied Engineering at a University in kwara State. They were both Classmates and after Five years of Studying hard, they both graduated. After graduation, Fate took them through different paths of life.
5 Years later, Rukayat after much frustration of securing a job, ended up as a Secretary in a Building firm earning 50,000 Naira monthly.
Meanwhile, Dayo on the other hand, couldn't Secure a Job and ended up a Taxi Driver, He makes At least 5,000 daily and if he works for only 20 days in a month, He makes 100,000 Naira that month.
One Evening, Rukayat closed from work and was at the bus stop waiting for taxi when Dayo stopped. She hopped in when she discovered the taxi was going her way but little did she know it was Dayo. All through the journey, she was lost in her Phone.
She reached her bus Stop and after alighting, just when she was about paying, she took a look at the driver and their eyes met, wow! They were both happy.
"Is this you?" they both asked themselves simultaneously as if they planned it. Rukayat gave him money but Dayo insisted she keep it. He was happy to see her and for old time sake, he left the money for her even when she insisted that she wanted to pay. They both exchanged contact and left.
Well, Rukayat went home that night and was lost in thought. Not as if Dayo was looking bad but Dayo driving Taxi? She couldn't wrap her head around it. She Pitied him. Felt Sorry for him. If Dayo had allowed her she would have paid him and beg him to keep the change.
Little did she know that, Dayo actually has another Taxi running for him, He is a Land owner and he is planning on developing it soon. But because he was driving a Taxi, She felt Pity for him.
On the other hand, Dayo felt sorry for himself too. Before he slept that night, he remembered Rukayat, how neatly she dressed and nice she smells, "She must be earning over 300,000 Naira per month" he said to himself. He felt ashamed, He felt like a failure and he felt she was way ahead of him financially and otherwise.
Little did he know that, If Rukayat removes the transportation fare and feeding money from her monthly salary, it will take her at least 3 Months to earn what he earns monthly.
Sadly, this could be some of our reality, you measure your progress and success with that of your friends, Classmates and Relatives even with very limited information you have about them.
You think yours is worse because you look dirtier, you think yours is worse because you are not on Corporate wears, you think yours is worse because the other person acts and looks Nicer.
Stay Focused and Face your life. It's not a competition. Stop Comparing things, you don't have the full picture. Every one is running on his own lane. Be contented.
Be focused๐.

When Allyson Felix got pregnant, the brand she was influencing for Nike, offered her 70% less on her contract and told her "๐๐ฃ๐ค๐ฌ ๐ฎ๐ค๐ช๐ง ๐ฅ๐ก๐๐๐ ๐๐ฃ๐ ๐๐ช๐จ๐ฉ ๐ง๐ช๐ฃ"
Knowing her worth and refusing to let her a situation limit her, she refused to settle.
She quit working with Nike, started her own brand of running shoes SAYSH with the slogan
"๐ ๐ ๐ฃ๐ค๐ฌ ๐ข๐ฎ ๐ฅ๐ก๐๐๐".
Allyson came back from the Tokyo Olympics, with 11 medals as the most decorated woman sprinter.
**************************************
As a growing brand, you may need to take some tough decisions, break out from some situations and take a risk on yourself.
When you allow certain things to define you for fear of "what's next" or "how will I cope", you lose your power to those things or situations.
There are places or things you need to come out to off to grow and expand.
What is the worse that could happen if you take a risk on yourself?
You fail but you can always get back up, start, from that experience and put in more effort.
You don't succeed by quitting on yourself, you succeed by seeing beyond today's, rejection, struggles and failures.
One can target Fathers day +,other days ...preparation starts earlier to enable one market the product/service a monthl earlier
