Today we held a feedback meeting with BOM network delegates from Likoni and Mvita, in attendance were KEPSHA chairpersons from both Mvita and Likoni sub-counties. The BOM networks were supported financially through the project hence they sharing out their journeys, challenges faced, best practises and any pending activities.

Today we had a successful launching of Endorsement for Jomvu and Changamwe sub-countys!
The event was a spectacular celebration , bringing together The Ministry of Education, Sub-County education directors(TSC), Curriculum Support Officers,BOMs and Head of Institutions from each school. We managed to distribute a total number of 23 and a copy of each was left with the ministry of education for monitoring.

WRAP UP TUKU PROJECT
On Thursday licodep through the Tucheze Kujifunza conducted endorsement event for the school development plans. A total of 35 schools were involved i.e. 20 in Likoni and 15 from Mvita. In attendance were education officials from sub-counties i.e. MOE &TSC sub-county Directors, Quality Assurance officers and curriculum support officers. The meeting also involved head of Institutions and BOM chairperson from each school and we successfully distributed 80 SDPs(2 from each school). Many thanks to our partner and Donor coastal region who supported us throughout this journey.
Yesterday we had a successful planning meeting focused on the upcoming visits for schools in Mvita, Changamwe , Likoni and Jomvu subcounty that have benefited from the TUKU project..
In conjunction with licodep today we had an opportunity to empowered youths age between 14-24 with life skills at Tiwi Social Hall in Kwale County. It was awesome as we engaged the learners on job searching skills, CV/resume writing, interview skills and job ethics. The session was climaxed with mental health session to help the youths free their mind from matters affecting them. With this partnership we aim to reach more youths within Matuga sub county and beyond.
Licodep was represented in a two days induction meeting on comic relief project together with other partners countrywide hosted by . Among the key issues discussed were Monitoring and evaluation, impact communication, financial reporting and safeguarding strategies our in working areas
It was an honor to meet with Md.Firikini the Sub-county Education officer Kwale County. Much was discussed and planned in regards to the upcoming Parental And Childhood Education Learning (PACEL) project that will be taking place within Pongwe ward and focusing on parental engagement on how to collaborate with teachers to enhance and embrace the CBC program as well as training the parents on how to manage the unwanted child behaviour . The main objective is to foresee in the coming years 100% transition rate from primary school education .

It has been 4 days of value based education training both module 1 and module 2 involving staffs and volunteers supported by our esteemed partner . The training has focussed on building ones self evaluation and relationship building that are essential for organization. We highly appreciate the support from Aga Khan Foundation for this fruitful engagement looking forward for more.
It has been three years since partnered with the Aga Khan Foundation to raise awareness about the -Based Curriculum (CBC) in all public primary schools in Mombasa County. Through the (Tucheze Kujifunza) program, we were able to engage with teachers, Board of Management (BOM) members, and parents. We are grateful to the Khan Foundation for entrusting us with the responsibility of being key drivers of the TUKU program. This partnership has allowed us to make a significant impact in promoting quality education in the region. We look forward to continuing our collaboration and furthering our efforts to improve the education system in Mombasa County.
Under TUKU (tucheze kujifunza) project supported by Aga Khan Foundation, today we have conducted our quarterly review meeting for quarter 4 with main agenda planning for the endorsement of the 57 school development plans (SDPs) that will commence on the second week of April Holiday. On board were licodep staffs, Curriculum Support Officer Mvita and Changamwe/Jomvu sub-counties and KEPSHA representatives Likoni, Mvita and Changamwe/Jomvu sub-counties.
