LEADERSHIP INDUCTION TRAINING FOR KIEMBENI ESTATE PUPIL LEADERSHIP COUNCIL ON FOSTERING GOOD GOVERNANCE, EFFECTIVE LEADERSHIP, AND ACCOUNTABILITY
Together 4 Society with our esteemed partners Muslim women Advancement of Rights and Protection organized a one-day training session for the newly elected student council of Kiembeni Estate Primary School at MWARP office in Mombasa. The training included engaging and practical sessions where facilitators actively involved the pupils on the different topics
Topics covered in the session included;
1. Accountable Leadership and Governance
2. Roles and Responsibilities of School Leaders
3. Values and Ethics of a Leader
4. Qualities of a Responsible Leader
5. Showing Leadership Skills to Peers
6. Conflict Management Resolutions among the peers
Learners also learned how to resolve without resorting to violence and how to handle challenging peers. Promoting equality and fair treatment among students was emphasized, along with building strong connections and getting to know team members well.
Facilitators also encouraged leaders to play the role of assisting the teachers on their implementation of day to day activities of instilling discipline, good manners and cooperation among the pupils.
Special thanks to the School management, Teachers, MWARP, T4S staff, pupils leaders, pupils and the community members who have been supporting the program.

We are pleased to announce that following the successful elections at Kiembeni Estates School, we will be conducting a leadership induction training on 25th May from 11am to 4pm. This training aims to equip the newly elected school leaders with the essential skills needed to lead with integrity.
The induction will be facilitated by Together 4 Society, in collaboration with our esteemed partners, Muslim women Advancement of Rights and Protection . We believe this training will significantly benefit the students by enhancing their leadership capabilities and fostering a strong foundation for their future roles.

INTER-COUNTY LEARNING EXCHANGE ON PREVENTION AND COUNTER VIOLENT EXTREMISM
Together 4 Society Organization led by the Executive Director Edwine Shamir who is also secretary of Education Mombasa Pillar joined other members of the Mombasa PCVE - CEF Engagement forum in Hosting Colleagues from the Kwale PCVE engagement forum for the first ever Inter-County learning Exchange program facilitated by Human Rights Agenda[HURIA] with support from Act Change Transform under the Global Community Engagement and Resilience Fund funded Program in the Coastal region of Kenya.
The fruitful 2 days long session focused on two common pillars; Ideological and Education that form part of the most active pathways in both counties.our ED was privileged to share the progress of the PCVE program in Kiembeni Estates Pri School, how the program have transformed learners and equip them with skills on how to prevent violence within their locality and school. The learners have since developed strategies on how to protect their fellow learners from joining juvenile gang groups within Kisauni.
Critical Multi-stakeholders joined including the Ministry of Interior and National Administration led by the County Commissioner who sits as a chair for the Mombasa County PCVE engagement forum, accompanied by Assistant county commissioners for Mombasa and Kwale, the Private sector, faith based institutions, cultural elders and the representation of the Civil society organizations πͺβ¨
The participants had an opportunity to learn from individual best practices connected to the Counties Action Plans and the National Strategy on PCVE. The lessons shared were from the Design and structure of the PCVE engagement forums and how to foster an engagement with National Counter Terrorism Centre - Kenya

During our visit yesterday at Neema Orphanage Center, we took the kids through an academic clinic whereby our members went through their revision books, revision papers and report cards to analyze their performance & the progress with school transitions
Through adapting a kid session, we made a commitment that we will be accessing the kids performance from their various schools and also pay a visit to their teachers for Excellence performance

Together with members of Coast Civil Society Organizations Network for Human Rights , we hosted Institute of Public Finance in Mombasa for dissemination meeting to share its findings & recommendations from two policy briefs; the first on the potential of non-tax revenues and the second on the potential of property taxes as a progressive tax.
We also looked at our own source revenue as where we looked at the loopholes of revenue collection

Mentorship at ACK Emmanuel Kengeleni Church Msa where our team facilitated a session on career choice in Academic Excellence & of Ccgd The Centre facilitating a session on GBV & Referral Pathways in relation to ongoing conversation on 16 Days of Activism.
From the FGD, the teens brought out the need of parental guidance where they elaborated that most of the parents have abandoned their roles in closely monitoring their Children's behavior, study skills & relationship.
As the session comes to an end, we moulded the skills of teens & addressed mental wellbeing whereby we gave them the statistics why the teens are most at risk with Mental Health issues 47%.
How self awareness, interpersonal skills and thinking skills can help their growth.
