Pamoja Talent Academy

The Pamoja Talent Academy fraternity convened for a community outreach at Victors Children's Home in Kahawa West, Kiwanja. We champion imparting important life lessons to our fraternity in order to mold and prepare them to recognize and appreciate the different paths of life as well as how to meaningfully provide service in the community and live and care for the less privileged within the community.

Our Grade 5 learners have been involved in their project tasks where they have acquired skills on how to clean wooden surfaces. This was an important task that enabled learners improve their ability to ensure wood longevity, hygiene, appearance and maintaining a healthy living environment.

The Agri-Biz Award is an annual entrepreneurship program that seeks to promote the engagement and participation of young people in agricultural activities. These awards are part of the Pamoja for Transformation's Agri-Biz program, which aims to provide technical, financial, and networking opportunities for young people.

To encourage plastic reduction, recycling, and re-using, we planted flowers and veggies using recycled plastics to create hanging gardens, where the students planted sukuma wiki and tomatoes. The pupils also made skipping ropes, tissue holders, and ornaments using plastic. We all have the ability to better our planet by reducing, reusing, and recycling plastic.

Today we are celebrating World Environment Day. It is our responsibility to protect the environment. Let us stop harming nature and polluting it. World Environment Day is a reminder of our actions on plastic pollution. The steps we take to tackle plastic pollution are critical to reducing the spread of single-use plastic.
