I, Hon. Rebecca Nafula Masibayi, had the privilege of joining the family of the late Mayi Mary from Ng'oli village today to personally convey my deepest condolences. As their representative, it was important for me to stand alongside them during this difficult time. The funeral service provided an opportunity for me to extend my support and show my genuine compassion for the grieving family. It is crucial to be there for our constituents during moments of sorrow, and I wanted to ensure that they knew they were not alone in their grief. By joining the family, I aimed to provide solace and strength as they navigate through this challenging period. Witnessing their resilience and the unity of the community in coming together to honor the memory of Mayi Mary was truly inspirational. It is important for us all to remember the significance of community support during times of loss. Together, we can offer comfort, understanding, and a sense of unity that can help alleviate the pain experienced by those mourning the loss of a loved one. I am deeply grateful for the opportunity to be present and offer my condolences to the family of Mayi Mary. By demonstrating solidarity and empathy, we can come together and heal as a compassionate community.

These Children on the streets are not going anywhere any soon and even if they wanted to go, where to? Today with members of the Association of Western Women in Politics while in Bungoma town, we met and chatted briefly with these vulnerable souls. There faces could tell it all, there is need for a rehabilitation center to house these children. However, there is need for a lot of concerted efforts from both the county and national governments together with the society at large to enable realize this dream

I was deeply saddened to hear of the passing of Joseph Kubende. He was a well-respected member of our community, and his loss is felt by many. Today, I had the honor of attending his funeral in Kimilili to pay my respects and offer support to his family during this difficult time. It is times like these when we must come together as a community to honor the memory of our departed loved ones. Mr. Kubende will be remembered for his contributions to our community and his kind heart. Although his passing has left a void in our hearts, we can take comfort in knowing that his legacy will live on. To the family and friends of Joseph Kubende, please accept my heartfelt condolences. You are in my thoughts and prayers, and I hope that the outpouring of support from the community provides you with some comfort during this difficult time. Rest in peace, Joseph Kubende.
