FoodBoma is a knowledge mobilisation platform aimed at encouraging African youth to engage in Agri-Food initiatives for a food secure Africa.

Food security means freedom from diseases, malnutrition, hunger and unemployment

Had the honour of handing over the prizes to the winners of the Call for articles by Afro Food Insights in partnership with the Food Security Center at the University of Nairobi titled 'Is GMO the solution to Food Security in Kenya' as selected by the Food Security Center.

The First prize was a laptop worth 50K, the second was a mobile phone and a circular light ring while the 3rd prize was a mobile phone.

This is part of the various activities we have lined up to encourage the youth to engage in research for sustainable agriculture and to achieve Food Security here in Kenya and beyond.

All these are digital tools that the youth can leverage on in their own capacities to advocate and share their contributions to achieving the SDG 2 on Ending Hunger through proper nutrition and sustainable agriculture.
