David Juma, a Nakuru-based gambler who won a Sh500,000 jackpot after placing a Sh10 bet on a Betika platform, has sued the company for refusing to pay his claim.

Superstar Jackie Chan is widely regarded as an all-time great in the history of martial arts. As early as 17 years old, Chan was already a box office force in both Hong Kong and the Hollywood film business. Chan, who got his start as a stuntman in the action film industry, has never utilized a stunt double, even after he became a household name. His extraordinary popularity may be attributed largely to his uniqueness. The actor has been hurt countless times over his career, but he has always come back stronger. Chan, however, has been fighting the hardest battle of his life because of a unique disease.

It’s well known that Jackie Chan has a rare illness known as Samuel Jackson Kinny (SJK). And as The Star reports, the celebrity recently made the foreboding prediction that he, too, would end up using a wheelchair.

The 69-year-old actor, who did all of his own stunts when he was younger, has revealed that his body is starting to feel the effects of the many blows it has taken over the course of his career. Chan has said that the anesthetic injections he has had to alleviate the pain in his thigh, shoulder, and waist have been ineffective. The veteran martial artist stated he has already had two injections and that if they don’t work, he’ll have to have surgery. The actor is still suffering from the SJK that has caused him much agony and stiffness, and the damage he has done to his body in the past only makes matters worse.

There wasn’t any computer-generated imagery (CGI) to hide the effects of stunts when Jackie Chan was at the top of the martial arts and cinema industries. Although being offered a stunt double for particularly risky tasks, Chan always declined since he preferred to do his own stunts. But, not all of the superstar’s antics had happy endings, and a few even landed him in the hospital.

Chan’s injuries include a fractured nose, ribs, ankles, and legs. In addition to his back and shoulders, both of his hips are out of place. The injuries never stopped Chan from doing his own stunts, and in addition, he has made jokes about them in a few of his movies.

Despite having this rare illness, Chan continues to appear in films because he wants to provide more action comedies for his many devoted.
