THE KOMA ROCK/ITHEMBO(the holly catholic shrine)
Kamba elders use this hill to offer scarifies to their gods long ago.

Road engineers working on the Kangundo Nairobi highway wanted to move the shrine in the early 1970s so that a road could pass through the hill, but this did not happenned,The reason for this was that there appeared to be a strange unknown power at work in the area that was preventing the rock from being blasted.

The shrine is now under the control of the Catholic Church, which has turned it into a pilgrimage site.
