Tomorrow is mashujaa day, yay! A perfect day and reason to try out something new.
We have Basil Tarrragon Pesto in mind.
A mouthful of brightness, bold and flavourful taste of basil, tarragon, cashew nuts and parmesan cheese.
An amazing topping on toast, pasta, fish, chicken, steak, roasted vegetables, pizza or roasted potatoes.
You will need:
A bunch of fresh Basil, a bunch of fresh tarragon, 2 tbsp cashew nuts, 25g parmesan cheese, 2 cloves of garlic, 75ml olive oil or sunflower oil, 1 tbsp lemon juice, 3/4 tsp lemon zest, 1/2 tsp salt and pepper.
Recipe:
-Blend cashew nuts in a blender add garlic and olive oil.
-Blend until ingredients are finely chopped in chunks but not a paste texture.
-Add the fresh basil and tarragon, lemon juice, lemon zest, salt and pepper and blend until well mixed. Make sure to stop every 15 seconds to scrape the sides.
- Add in your large cheese chunks and pulse until ingredients are finely chopped but not pasty. Adjust seasoning with salt and pepper if needed.
Enjoy on your toast, fish, chicken and more.

Deriving it's name from the Latin word "salvere", meaning "to be saved", Sage has an enduring history as a medicinal plant.
It is a member of the mint family and has a unique flavor that can be described as minty and earthy with a light piney and citrus notes.
Sage is often used in dishes that require long braising times like roasts and stews.
However it's a pungent herb that can completely overwhelm all the other flavors in a dish and leave it bitter and unpalatable. A little will go a long way.

Are you watching the inauguration from home? We've got you😉. Here is a beef stew recipe that you will love.
You will need a pressure cooker to make it fast and easy. Otherwise oven or jiko for 2-3 hours will do too.
Prep: cut up beef into small chunk sizes along with the potatoes and carrots
Prep Beef: Season the beef chunks on all sides with salt and our Healthier Choice Beef Blend. Toss the seasoned beef to coat it on all sides.
Brown the beef: Add the beef and let it simmer in it's own fat on a pan. Brown the beef for 3-4 minutes. Remove and set aside.
Cook onion: After you remove the beef, add onions and garlic. Cook for 2-3 minutes and stir until brown and soft.
Deglaze: Pour the broth/ water over the onions. Scrape up the brown bits from the bottom of the pan. Stir for a minute.
Season: Next pour the broth with onion from the pan into your pressure cooker, add blended tomato, thyme and rosemary. Stir for a couple of minutes.
Add beef and veggies: Then, add the beef in, top with the potatoes and carrots into pressure cooker. Finally, add the bay leaf.
Close and cook: Close the lid of the pressure cooker, turn the steam release valve to seal. Cook for 35 minutes, then allow the pot to naturally release for 10 minutes before opening the lid. Remove the bay leaf and serve. You can garnish with coriander.

-Get pork chops and order our Pork Rub.
-Pat the pork dry with paper towels
-Sprinkle Pork Rub over both sides of the pork and rub lightly with your fingers to distribute it.
-Shake off the excess before cooking otherwise it will come off in the pan and burn.
-Heat oil in a heavy based skillet over medium high heat.
-Sear on the stove until they are a lovely deep golden brown all over.
-Bake in the oven in 70°c until it is well done.
-Garnish and serve with a side of your choice.
