Commercial photography can be extremely technical and precise, sometimes a killjoy for the creative spirit. As an antidote, we believe in the importance of play. That was the entire purpose of this shoot: to literally lighten the mood by surrendering to the unpredictability of painting break-dancers with light. Principles of movement and light lie at the foundation of photography so, equipped with a hula hoop, fairy lights and a DIY lightsaber, this is us relinquishing control and taking it back to basics. But above all, playing.
