• CHILD BOOK WEEK •
Yesterday we kicked off the Dutch national children’s book week by reading to one another. Our older students chose a picture book to read to a younger student.
This years theme is “lekker eigenwijs” and during the week the students will read and learn about books filled with unexpected twists and characters who are contrary, quirky and occasionally obstructive, but above all show how nice it is to be yourself.
Reading is a fun activity and an important skill, hence we encourage lots of reading and being read to in school, during child book week and beyond. And of course we love adding new books related to the theme to our library!
• SKILLS CLUB •
Our skills clubs for this term started. Student get to choose between different activities, such as: stem, singing, art, sports, woodworks, gardening and crochet.
The aim of the skills club is for students to discover and develop their talents, focusing on what makes them happy and what charges their battery, so that we can let their talents grow 🌱
• BACK TO SCHOOL •
We kicked off a new academic year this week and it’s great to be back in school. The classrooms are filled with exciting new learning materials and books. We are ready for another year filled with learning and growth 🌱
• MUSICAL PREP •
You know the end of the year is near when musical prep is in full swing 🎨🖌️
The students are super excited and rehearsals become more serious. It is great to see all the skills the students are developing through the musical. Some are in their element, while others are challenged out of their comfort zone. Great learning!
Thank you for helping us with our backdrops!

The “Koningsspelen” were organized for the first time in 2013 in the context of the inauguration of King Willem-Alexander, with the aim of showing children in primary education and their parents that eating a good breakfast and getting active exercise together is important, but above all a lot of fun.
Our students enjoyed a day filled with sports and 🇳🇱 games and of course lots of orange 🧡🥳
We look forward to our orange celebration tomorrow, with a flea market, more games and of course 🇳🇱 food! 👑 🧡
