How can we create more inclusive classrooms for neurodiverse learners? One effective approach is Universal Design for Learning (UDL), a framework that empowers educators to meet the diverse needs of all students.
In our past webinar, experts Margaret Richu, Nancy Munyi, and Lilian Agesa shared valuable insights on implementing UDL effectively. They discussed practical strategies for fostering supportive learning environments.

A big congratulations to the ๐๐ญ๐๐ฐ๐ข๐ฌ๐ก๐ ๐๐๐ ๐๐๐๐ Cohort in Ringa and Ramba zones in Homa Bay County๐๐๐
We are proud to celebrate the successful conclusion of the Stawisha Dignitas Learning Champions (DLC) program for 2024. The Concluding Workshop brought together the Homa Bay cohort to reflect on their journey, highlighting the progress made and key lessons learned along the way.
During the workshop, participants evaluated the effectiveness of key program elements such as LeadNow, Professional Learning Communities (PLC), and Cluster Meetings. They engaged in insightful discussions around best practices, ongoing challenges, and strategies for improvement.
A key focus was placed on the sustainability of the DLC efforts, particularly through the School-Based Teacher Support System (SBTSS), ensuring that the impact of this program continues long after Dignitas' direct support.
We are excited to see how this cohort continues to make a lasting difference in their schools and communities.

We were delighted to participate in the British Councilโs School Connect Policy Dialogue from the 15th to the 17th of October. The conference focused on three key themes related to leadership for inclusion and belonging within school systems:
โพ The education and inclusion of pupils with special educational needs and disabilities
โพ Gender equality, particularly the education and inclusion of girls
โพ Language of instruction as both a barrier to and enabler of inclusion and belonging
These themes closely align with our vision of making schools vibrant spaces for ALL children, including those traditionally excluded. Over the years, we have worked with school leaders to build their capacity to support children who learn differently. We look forward to deepening this work in the communities we serve and fostering stronger collaborations to advance inclusive education in Kenya.
