For , we are pleased to announce that KenGen Kenya will pay a total of Ksh 1.97 Billion in dividends to its shareholders for the year ended June 30, 2023. ^EM

KenGen Kenya aims to scale up the diversification of revenue streams through the exploration of further regional and local opportunities, with a focus on drilling services, geoscientific studies, operation and maintenance services as well as delivery of ongoing projects in the Horn of Africa. ^EM

KenGen Kenya reported a 48% increase in profit after tax of Ksh. 5.02 billion for the year ended June 2023, up from Ksh. 3.4 billion in the previous year.

This performance is attributed to the operational efficiency of our geothermal fleet and the newly commissioned Olkaria I Additional Unit 6 geothermal power plant, in July 2022.

This growth is attributed to a 24% increase in geothermal generation and an overall increase in electricity unit sales from 7,918GWh in 2022 to 8,027GWh. ^EM
