Small profits running

I expect XAUUSD to go up, but as at now, there is no buy set up for me. I have an intraday sell setup, but I don't have a lot of confidence with a sell due to to other market conditions that make me believe we are preparing to buy.

EU playing out as predicted two days ago. The charts soeak for themselves. I don't have to add much of my voice.

What I mean is that in a single bullish daily candle, there might be different intraday trends- similar case on any candle. I have not buy setup at this time. I also don't believe in following the market when it leaves me. I want to take only those trades that will require me to place a very small stop loss, and earn big returns in the end. On 22nd of September, 2016, I got a chance, along with a few traders to meet the entire board and management of Capital Markets Authority over the Future of Online Forex Trading in Kenya. By then, they wanted to know exactly what Fx is about, so we used the opportunity to teach them basics of Forex trading, from what is Forex, to downloading mt4, and a few basics of mt4.

We then made some suggestions of what we thought they should change from their first proposed regulations. Yesterday, two of us were invited in a meeting to discuss the Act on Online Forex Trading in Kenya. It a was a meeting attended by CMA, Treasury, Regulators from UK and Malaysis, Broker representatives and some Traders, in different capacities. While we did not agree with everything that has been suggested in the Act, I can proudly say that a lot has been done towards coming up with a proper regulatory framework; in fact, I think 80% of the Act has no major problem.

I won't be able to write everything because of time, but I thought this would be of interest to some of you. The regulations are mainly aimed at protecting the public, and overseeing the conduct of brokers and fund managers.

Dealing Brokers will be required to have a paid up capital of Kshs- 50Million. Non delaing- 30Million. To be a fund manager, you will be required to pass the comliance requirements and have a paid up capital of Kshs. 10 Million shillings.

The first draft did not recognize fund managers, at least now people will trade without the fear of being raided by the government.

KEY TRUMP PROMISE
Protectionist trade policies – tariffs and restrictions on Mexican, Chinese imports and others

__Effect on Stocks---BEARISH – restrictions on trade can create trade wars and backlash on US companies doing business abroad

__Effect on USD--- BULLISH against targeted EM currencies, BEARISH overall if trade wars result

__Effect on Gold---BULLISH if trade wars result, which could boost gold as a safe-haven currency alternative

While Donald Trump has made many other assurances besides the ones noted above, these key promises have been, and should continue to be, the most salient issues potentially moving markets going forward.

The pound rose more sharply against the dollar than it did against the euro because the US currency had been weakened by remarks made by President-elect Donald Trump in the Wall Street Journal.

The dollar fell 1% against the euro and was down against most major currencies after Mr Trump said US firms could not compete with China "because our currency is too strong. And it's killing us".

This is how market makers pull you on the wrong side. In an uptrend,around the beginning of a trading session, price is pushed up in long candles. Price will stall at a certain level as traders start going long. The next candle is a very long and fast moving bear that makes many traders who were already long to feel like prices are taking a different direction.Ni one loves being a loser, so some traders, actually many traders will close their long position to either stay out of the market or go short, and that will push prices lower. Market makers then come in with huge long orders once prices have retraced for say 25 to 30 pips, and we get a long green candle, which traps all traders who had just started going short. Most of these traders, especially those who exited their long trades to go short, will not close their short positions; instead, they will try to convince themselves that the market will come back. Since most of the these traders do not know how to set a stop loss, market makers be smiling all the way to the bank....Happy pipping.

Scenario #1 –Trump becomes President, Clinton accepts defeat.

The greatest market impact would be a Trump victory and a willing Clinton defeat. In this scenario, the U.S. will have a man with untested political skills and unknown policies in office. In this case, the biggest winners will be the euro, Swiss Franc and Japanese Yen and the biggest losers will be the U.S. dollar and Mexican Peso. The Canadian dollar should also fall but its moves could be tempered by a weakening U.S. dollar.

Scenario #2 –Clinton becomes President, Trump accepts defeat

The greatest relief for foreign investors would be if Clinton becomes President and Trump willingly accepts defeat. She’s not without her own problems (and there are many of them) but the transparency of her policies and the continuity of stability would send the U.S. dollar sharply higher. In this scenario, the dollar and peso would rise against all of the major currencies with the biggest losers being the Japanese Yen, Swiss Franc and to some degree the euro. However she would need to win by an uncontestably wide margin and Trump would need to accept defeat, which he has suggested that he wouldn’t.

Scenario #3 –Trump/Clinton becomes President by narrow margin. Loser refuses to accept defeat.

The third scenario is the most likely one. If Trump or Clinton becomes President by a very narrow margin and the loser refuses to accept defeat, the ongoing uncertainty would be extremely negative for the U.S. dollar, especially in the hours after the election. On a percentage basis, the greatest market volatility in financial assets (currencies, equities and commodities) will be in scenario 1 and 2

USD weakness: The Fed remained cautious on future path of rate hikes, which may restrain the USD and support the gold. most of the hedge funds are running to gold so we expect really high volatillity in GOLD
