When people buy cheaper things, they usually don't think about it as much. They might buy them because they're used to them, because of their convenience, or because they are easily accessible.
On the other hand, people who buy expensive things usually care more about what they're buying and spend more time making their own decisions.
And this happens to everyone regardless of our financial standing.
Let's take an example of when we are buying salt; which is a very common commodity? How much thought do you give into that process?
Very little, I presume. Why is this so? Is it because of our interaction with the salt, the cost of salt, or simply because very few brands have taken notable initiatives to ensure their customer's interactions with the brand are heightened beyond the shelves.
If we look at it, it could be all those reasons. If we actually have a brand that does a little more in terms of branding and marketing, perhaps even raise the price from 15 shillings to, let's say, 150 shillings, maybe we will start paying more attention to which brand of salt we actually buy.
But until then, we shall continue with the habit of buying any salt that is easily accessible.

When it comes to making purchasing decisions, men and women have different approaches. Research has shown that women tend to make impulsive purchases, often driven by their emotions or the desire to enjoy long-term benefits.
For instance, a woman may buy an expensive dress for a special occasion even though she doesn't need it, simply because she wants to feel good about herself or look her best. In contrast, men tend to make purchases based on logic and immediate needs.
They are more likely to consider the practicality and functionality of a product before making a decision. For example, a man may buy a new tool for his workshop because he needs it to complete a specific task.
Overall, these different approaches to purchasing decisions are likely influenced by a variety of factors, including societal norms, personal experiences, and individual preferences.

When communicating brand value, storytelling can be a powerful tool. However, it's important to keep in mind who your audience is and what they need to understand. Different audiences require different information, so it's important to tailor your message accordingly.
To make sure your audience truly understands your message, it's best to organize your text in a logical way and prioritize the most important information upfront. Short sentences with only necessary information are easier to understand than long, complex sentences that can confuse your reader.
Using simple and familiar vocabulary is essential for clear communication. Everyday language is preferred over acronyms, jargon, or legal language. In addition, using the verb form of a word instead of the noun form can help simplify your message and make it clearer.
Finally, using the active voice can also help increase clarity, as it focuses on the subject doing the action of the verb. Remember these tips to create effective communication that resonates with your audience.

Does it Really Work?
Let's face it, the world of marketing & advertising is swiftly changing, it's not what we were used to.
The amount of money used for making flyers, paying for adv space is just outrageous, and the results humiliating; and no longer the best way to grow your business. Today, it's a whole different ballgame.
The world is going digital and so should all the businesses.
By having a website and leveraging Social Media platforms like Facebook,Instagram, Twitter and YouTube, you're setting yourself up for the future.
Your customers are on Social Media every day. They eat and drink social media.
A simple example is with me. Before the up rise of citizen journalism, I couldnโt skip a 7 PM or 9 PM bulletins. What about today, I just donโt care whether I watch or not; I get everything online. In fact, you get those news while they are BREAKING!!!
This is already a reality; Businesses are growing from grass to grace through the pure art of understanding why digital marketing is the easiest way to get to where people are hanging out.
Look companies internationally like Airbnb, Alibaba and Amazon, locally there is Jumia, Jazacart, Kilimall etc. These are just but a few big and growing online brands that are raking millions from digital marketing and growth marketing or what other call growth hacking.
Tom Fishburne, a veteran marketer quotes. โThe best marketing doesnโt feel like marketing.โ
Anton Sepetov, A sales guru at AppSumo and Sumo - in an interview with Noah Kagan. Says that the best kind of marketing is not that you send to a client by email or through a text, or the conversation you have on the phone about your product, itโs the one that makes the client feels confident about the decision they are already going.
This does not happen overnight. I can tell you for free that I wouldnโt buy a product just because I saw it on a billboard on my way to work. This is how myself and many other road users assumes your advert on a billboard;-
The most I can do is visit your website to learn more about you. If your site sucks โ I will just turn to the suggested competitors, and Google is very good at suggesting your competitors.
A common phrase you should know is that Google loves you when other people do.
Most probably you might refute my words but when was the last time you searched for something like this:-
Google has given me ten related searches, and only the best seller(s) gets their fair share. If you just create a website and leave it at that point without SEO/SEM or social media marketing, this is how your competitors will be smiling at you while stealing your well-deserved customers.
I am sure you donโt want that, right? If you want to be among the first adopters of great digital marketing techniques in Kenya just drop a line in the comment button so that we can continue with this conversation.
