Kudos to Joseph and the team at PELEKA LIMITED for introducing a new model for farm harvest trailers in Kenya.

These trailers are stronger (reinforced chassis), lighter in overall weight, articulated with a turn-table and ergonomic as they are low enough for loading of farm produce – this has been achieved using floatation tyres that also assists reduce soil compaction.

This week Speciality team is on site in Tanzania to visit some of our clients and foster new opportunities.

In the past week we visited a mechanized gold mine in Kenya.

During the tour we got see our previously supplied 10-16.5 tyres in operation and went to underground tunnels to see the tough conditions the tyres have to endure.

The Magna 10-16.5 SKID2 tyres have a deep and wide lug tread pattern that provides optimal grip and traction on both smooth and rough surfaces. This tyre pattern has an extended tyre life due to its reinforced sidewall and strong nylon casing. The special tread compound increases cut- and chipping-resistance.

The Magna MB01S is a 60mm tread depth tyre that provides a stable load platform which reduces the pendulum movement of the container mast when stacking at higher levels. This tyre is designed with a special compound and high tensile strength to increase resistance to abrasion during tight turns on the spot. It is also engineered with a high-tech casing, which provides reduced heat generation inside the tyre.

Yesterday, Okoa Sasa Youth FC travelled to Mbaraki Sports Club to face Bandari Youth FC in a grueling match that saw the home team edge out our young boys 5-1. Despite the defeat, the boys have had a valuable learning experience, being new comers and can only hope for better results in the next game.
