Grateful to have had the opportunity once again to work with the NIQ Nigeria team to host the Annual NielsenIQ Breakfast Conference in Nigeria.
Top among the concerns of Nigerian consumers are the increasing food prices and economic downturn that dictated this year’s event theme; “Growing Beyond the Big Squeeze.”
While it was such an insightful learning curve with so many “take-aways” below were my key highlights:

1. The “healthier lifestyle” trend that emerged during COVID has continued to grow with consumers on the look-out for products that ensure continued health for them and their families. New launches with “healthy” positioning are winning in stores.
2. Starting “launch measurement” early is key for foresight, course-correction, and vitality. Don’t just track, proactively manage in real time.
3. The current crisis in Nigeria that has been accelerated by the “big economic squeeze” is putting the profit pool under strong pressure.
4. It is critical to understand price elasticities. In a high inflationary environment, consumers are more likely to compare prices (cross price elasticities) than looking at product’s own price point.
5. Based on historical sales data, FMCG Segment will experience a steady growth in the next 2 years
6. The Beverage Segment will continue to grow in 2024, with a setback projection in 2025.
7. The next couple years, whoever executes the best, at a granular level, will outpace their competition.

Interrupting my time away to catch you up on what I have been up too as recently as yesterday.
Tabby is well, thanks for all who have checked in!
There are so many roles that bring me fulfillment but nothing probably beats event planning!
I constantly have asked myself why I draw so much joy from planning events while the days
leading to to the “big day” feel like an uphill task!
Here is why..I just love serving people and them beaming with satisfaction makes my heart burst in its seams!
Watching them walk into this ballroom yesterday their eyes in awe, well fed and engulfed in a myriad of insights could probably have been the best sight I beheld.

With all the macro and micro level challenges retailers have to face in the current economy at the market place the reason behind the Kenya NIQ Annual Event this year was clear it was to help the stakeholders of the FMCG industry realize one thing,”the need to re-strategize”
How? One way, INNOVATE!

Grateful for the opportunity to serve but more so to be a part of a team that empowered each one of our guests for the price of light is always better than the cost of darkness!

33 years ago as God would allow in his Sovereignty the portal of heaven was opened to release a spirit that came housed in a physical body that you know as Tabby!
Today that portal was opened again to release a new dimension of grace to do what he has “willed” me to do in this new year of my life.
He has promised he will fill this house with his glory and here I am aligned to the truth of his word by choosing to be set apart!

That beloved, is the true essence of Christmas.

I love being a mum!
But every now and then my cup runs empty.
I couldn’t be more grateful to own devices that allow my little man to enjoy watching some of his favorite cartoons as I get some time to sit back and relax. Having turned on the Smart App control on my Windows 11 I have ensured significant protection from new and emerging threats that may come from malicious or untrusted apps.

I have always been a believer of supplements thanks to my mum who said introduced them to me when I was a child such as Scott’s emulsion to supplements that I currently use as an adult..

I have tried an array of them.
I have not used boric supplements but the cranberry ones have been great when I have a UTI infection which you will have at some point in your life as a woman.They have helped to keep them away and also help with healing at the time a UTI shows up! and at the moment I am on this well woman supplements.

Probiotics are found naturally in foods like yogurt are help with gut health and affect your bodies immune response(almost giving it a power boost) but there are several in the market that help resolve different issues with your body.

The NielsenIQ Breakfast Conference in Nigeria was such a learning curve for me after months of integral planning as I got to understand the Retail market in the country.
