Kenya’s spectacular reputation and renown in the world of running is indisputable with 33% of medals won worldwide, being earned by our athletes. NMK and Harvard University have partnered to develop the "Footprints: 2 Million Years of Running’’ Exhibition which will seek to harness Kenyan pride and enthusiasm for running and tells the story of the evolution of human movement and celebrates the art and science inherent in the practice of running and physical activity. In attendance are Eng. John Barorot- Deputy Governor, County Government of Uasin Gishu, the Legendary Mr. Kipchoge Keino, Professor Daniel Lieberman of Harvard University, retired former athletes; Teclar Chemabwai Sang, Japheth Kimutai, current athletes, coaches, nutritionists and sports scholars who are relaying to us their incredible stories and experiences in the running industry towards enriching the exhibition.

The Pio Gama Pinto Exhibition;The life, struggles, successes and assassination of Pio Gama Pinto.
This is an Educative Exhibition that has continued to impact many people.
Today, Kisumu County Governor, H.E Professor Anyang' Nyong'o visited Kisumu Museum and went through this prodigious Exhibition.
He was impressed by how newsy this Exhibition is.
We look forward to bringing to our visitors more of such exhibitions come next year.
The exhibition has a few more days to go before it comes to an end.

The Rusinga Festival 2023 was graced by the chief guest, CS Eliud Owallo, CEO of KTB Mr Korir and Eng. Mark Matunga at Thomas Joseph Odhiambo Mboya Mausoleum. They also participated in tree planting which is in accordance with the mandate to increase Kenya's forest cover by 2032.

We got a special visit from . The team's aim was to proselytize Kisumu Museum as one of the places to visit, not only in Kisumu but also the Western Region and beyond.
From the Gallery, to the Aquarium(with various species of fish found in Lake Victoria) and homestead; At the Homestead, they got a rare chance to witness the magical enactment of how the Luo community lived, right from leadership, sports and entertainment and role division.
Kisumu County Deputy Governor , Dr. Mathews Owili, in his interview with Magical Kenya at the Kisumu Museum , noted on the importance of preserving our culture for the generations to come and the important role the Museum plays in the society.
The Karen Blixen Museum received over 500 tree seedlings from Equity Bank over the weekend. This will help in the efforts to boost Kenya's forest cover by planting 15 billion trees by 2032.

The Portuguese Chapel in Malindi hosted a team of 400 youth from the Catholic Church Diocess of Mombasa. The Youth from the Neo- Catechumenical Way, performed a pilgrimage and took turns to offer prayers in the Church in commemoration of St. Francis Xavier. The Church also known as St. Francis Xavier Chapel is the Oldest in East Africa, built before 1520's. It is a gazetted National Monument under the Custody of NMK
The Bishop requested for free entry to the Chapel for prayers. The museum has always been availed free of charge for St. Francis since the museum is set up in Malindi.

Having a great time at the Nairobi National Museum with emerging artists Elvis Ramboh, Janice Watkins and Oluoch Otieno who are helping to set up their exhibition 'Late Registration'. The exhibition runs until 16th January 2024.
Late Registration is about the courage and determination of young artists aiming to create a unique and lasting impact despite the daunting challenge of innovating in a field where it appears that almost every idea has been previously explored by others.
