🚨 BREAKING NEWS: Fight among South Sudanese communities in Kenyan refugee camp leaves at least five dead

A violent clash between South Sudanese communities in the Kalobeyei refugee camp has resulted in at least five fatalities, according to sources on the ground. The conflict began on Monday between the Nuer and Anyuak communities residing in the settlement.

The situation remains tense as police efforts to contain the violence. The exact cause of the fight is still unclear, but tensions are reportedly high within the camp.

Kalobeyei refugee camp, located in Turkana County, Kenya, was established in 2015 to accommodate the influx of South Sudanese refugees fleeing the conflict that erupted in December 2013. The camp has since been home to many seeking safety from ongoing violence in their homeland.
