Malaria is a life-threatening disease caused by parasites that are transmitted to humans through the bite of infected mosquitoes.
It is one of the world’s most common and deadly diseases, especially in developing countries. Symptoms of malaria can include fever, chills, and flu-like illness. If left untreated, malaria can quickly become life-threatening by disrupting the blood supply to vital organs.
The most effective way to prevent malaria is to avoid mosquito bites by using insect repellent, wearing long-sleeved clothing, and sleeping under mosquito nets. Treatment for malaria usually involves a combination of antimalarial medications.

Nose bleeds are not a common occurrence and should resolve quickly. There are many potential causes of nosebleeds, including:
-Dryness in the air (either from weather conditions or from indoor heating) can cause the tissues in the nose to become dried out and cracked, which can lead to nosebleeds.
-Allergies: Allergies can cause the blood vessels in the nose to become inflamed and irritated, which can lead to nosebleeds.
-Injury: An injury to the nose, even a minor one, can cause nosebleeds.
-Nasal infections: Infections in the nose, such as sinus infections or colds, can cause the blood vessels in the nose to become inflamed and irritated, which can lead to nosebleeds.
If you have a nose bleed, sit down and lean forward. Pinch your nose shut and breathe through your mouth. If the bleeding does not stop after 30 minutes, seek medical attention.
Lots of men struggle with mental health throughout their lives and it can impact on them in many ways. Some men struggle to talk about their feelings or reach out for help, which can mean their issues gets worse over time.
This may be because they believe that mental struggles are a sign of weakness, or that they should simply ‘man up’, which can lead to some men trying to downplay how they’re feeling or cover it up.
For any men in this position, it’s crucial to understand that mental struggles are common, and there is no shame in accepting help.
You may notice the following behavioral changes:
🔸Drinking more or taking drugs
🔸Avoiding family or social situations
🔸Working obsessively without taking proper breaks
🔸Finding it hard to keep up with work or family responsibilities
🔸Becoming more controlling or abusive in relationships
🔸Engaging in risk-taking behavior, such as gambling or unsafe s*x
or attempting su***de.
The behavioral changes occur as a result of men trying to mask issues such as depression and adhere to “masculine norms.”
The good news? We are here for you!

A cataract is a clouding of your eye's lens. As cataracts progress, your vision will become foggy and blurry.
The majority of people begin to get cataracts beyond the age of 65, while some people experience cataracts in their forties and fifties. Children might develop cataracts and these are treated differently from those affecting adults.
Some factors that may increase your risk of developing cataracts:
-Eye disorders - Cataracts can also be brought on by other eye conditions such as glaucoma.
-Trauma: When an eye is wounded, a cataract may form in that eye.
-Being extremely short sighted (also known as myopia) may result to cataracts.
The sole treatment for cataracts is surgery; there are no medications or eye treatments that can remove them. Cataract surgery replaces your cloudy lens with an artificial one. This is known as an intra ocular lens, often shortened to IOL. An IOL doesn't need to be changed again and can last as long as you do!

A cold is caused by any one of several viruses that inflames the membranes that line your nose and throat.
Colds are very contagious, often spread by airborne droplets that are coughed or sneezed into the air by someone who is sick. The droplets can travel through a closed room and be inhaled by another person who is nearby. They can also be spread when a sick person touches you or a surface that you then touch.
To ease the symptoms; get some rest, drink more fluids, take antihistamines and pain relievers if you are experiencing headaches.
When should you see a doctor? If you have a cold along with high fever, sinus pain, swollen glands, or a mucus-producing cough. This is an indication that the common cold has caused a secondary infection.
As a prevention measure, we should continue upholding COVID-19 handwashing procedures as they help a great deal in controlling common cold infections.
Canker sores are small, shallow sores inside the mouth or at the base of the gums. They may develop from an injury in the mouth, stress or a weakened immune system.

The main symptom is a painful sore/sores in your mouth that makes eating difficult and talking painful. Most canker sores clear on their own in one to two weeks. If the sores multiply or last longer than 2 weeks, it may be time to book a dentist appointment.

Coughing is the worst. No one likes to feel as if they're hacking up a lung or bringing up so much mucus that their chest hurts.
Honey is not a cure for cough, but a substance that can decrease its intensity. Honey helps in soothing down the swollen mucous membrane and gives relief from the cough symptoms which include difficulty in swallowing, and cough spurts while talking.
Honey also has anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, and antibacterial properties — which may contribute to its relieving effect. These properties help fight off infections and can boost your immune system.
While you can consume honey plain, adding it to warm tea may increase its soothing effect on the throat.
If your cough is the result of allergies, asthma, or an infection, you should try to take medication for the underlying condition.
