Our Director and Founder recently received this award to celebrate the remarkable contributions and resilience of people with disability in promoting inclusivity and diversity. This esteemed recognition honors each one of us who have demonstrated unwavering advocacy, breaking down barriers and championing equal opportunities for all especially advocacy of albinism.
Narok Albinism Association is the only organization in Narok that advocates for rights of people whose disability is not physical but structural under the motto, ‘ Beauty beyond the skin’. Reuben as a person with albinism himself, is a representative of the Persons with disability at the county board in Narok and utilizes the opportunity to further advocate for all categories of persons with disability and not just albinism through sensitization, representation and participation in development activities and decision making, economic support through CVA and in kind donations as well as climate change through tree planting for awareness creation.

Let’s celebrate it all together by being kind to everyone around us and by acknowledging that disability is not inability.

Narok Albinism Association partnered with AIC Church Narok town Branch and visited Narok prison on 23rd June 2024 at 1:30 PM with the primary objective of offering sanitary towels and tissues to the inmates. This initiative was part of our ongoing efforts to support the health and hygiene of incarcerated women. We managed to conduct a Distribution of Sanitary Towels, Tissues and other essentials for their personal hygiene.
We had the opportunity to interact with some of the inmates, listening to their concerns and experiences. This interaction provided valuable insights into their daily lives and the impact of our contributions.

The visit to Narok Prison was a significant step towards improving the living conditions of the inmates. The distribution of sanitary towels and tissues addressed an immediate need, and our interactions highlighted the importance of ongoing support and collaboration. We are committed to continuing our efforts to make a positive impact on the lives of the incarcerated women at Narok Prison.

We also welcome any partner organizations or well wishers who would like to donate so that we can plan a visit and make an impact together.

Today was a special day for conserving environment"I alone cannot change the world, but I can cast a stone across the water to create many ripples." — Mother Teresa
The initiative of 15 billion trees by 2032, will work to reduce greenhouse emissions, stop and reverse deforestation, and restore 5.1 million hectares of deforested. Needs every Kenyan effort however small it is. To support this effort Narok Albinism Association has contributed 500 trees and this is a clear indication that persons with disabilities are also involved in this noble endeavor.
I want to thank the National and County Governments for their effortless commitment to ensuring our environment is green, as Kenyans particularly persons with disabilities are firmly behind you and we request you consider us whenever you organize these initiatives and set aside reserved grants for persons with disabilities and see how aggressive we can be when supported.
The news about this day being announced as a public holiday came as a surprise but in my mind, I saw a visionary government that is well prepared for the future of its citizens and I would advocate for the gazettement of 13th November every year to be a public holiday where we plant trees as we reflect on achievement, impact and chart the way forward as a country.
More especially I would like to recognize the office of the county commissioner for always considering persons with disabilities in every meeting and program that the office undertakes they informed me during the planning and that is why I am here today with a contribution of 500 trees and we managed to plant 72,000 tree seedlings at Enoosupukia Forest.
Lastly to the county government, we are grateful for your collaboration with the National government and for supporting the government programs that is why we are experiencing development that never before and I would encourage and pray that you keep up the spirit and I know by 2027 we will celebrate the fruits of your work.
Present leaders were H.E The Governor Ntutu,PS Abubakar,County commissioner,Area MP and other leaders.
