The formation of an alumni association (United Sihay Alumni Family) is well underway and moving on well. We have already created a whatsapp platform where we can interact as old boys/girls of the school as we move towards more concrete discussions and we urge all former students of the school to join this SIHAY FAMILY.
Please inbox Lawyer Mpuddy Deckker who is an old boy of the school and currently teaching there for further details.

Hello parents,
I am pleased to share with you the great news of our children's good performance. I still have not got all the results as yet and I will be updating you accordingly.
However, I have the pleasure to inform you that finally we have managed to get the 400 marks that have eluded us for years.
Our best candidate has scored a total of 408 marks in total among other great performances.
All glory goes to God.

Hello guys plans are at an advanced stage for the formation of a SIHAY OLD BOYS AND OLD GIRLS ASSOCIATION and we are very hopeful that when the time comes we shall all join.
Kindly share this information with anybody you know who learnt at the school and encourage them to join that great family once registration begins for the same.

Our candidates generally had a serious drop in performance between zonal mock and their end-term exam which they did on Monday and Tuesday.
This drop in performance could be attributed to two factors
1) A general sense of laxity and a tendency to switch off as they drew towards the end of the term.
2) A lack of individual readership thus the drop as the exam focused more on classes 4 -7 with very little coming from class 8.
*With the two problems cited above, I urge you parents to help us keep the candidates busy with revision over the next ten days that they will be home.
Please, do not help your child pick the latest fashion, do the latest hair dye and roam allover the village in the name of Christmas. (you will have them from March until September next year to do all that with them). For now, put them down on their books and remind them that KCPE is coming in March!!!

*Our 5-point strategy towards a good performance.*
1) Make every stakeholder feel part of the class (it's success and failures) by freely sharing information about our plans, aspirations, activities and achievements as well welcoming and treating with utmost respect every single opinion
2) Have all the teachers bond into one close family with shared goals, a common vision, unity of purpose and speaking in one voice.
3) Urge the parents to pay school levies and other requirements in time to facilitate smooth running of our programs without having to disrupt learning for any pupil.
4) To ensure that all the teachers complete the syllabus on time so that learners are equipped with all relevant knowledge while time is also created for revision to prepare them for KCPE.
5) To initiate regular testing and an intensive revision program then sustain the same upto KCPE.

*-I can gladly say that numbers in 1 and 2 we have been nearly 80% successful while number 4(syllabus coverage) is completely done.*
*- We just launched the intensive revision and testing (number 5) two weeks ago because teachers needed to complete the syllabus but every strategy is in place to sustain the program upto the end.*
*- Our only challenge remains payment of levies and grains as some parents are doing quite poorly on this but we are hoping they will be able to fulfill their obligations after harvesting so that their children are not sent home.*

Please let us remind girls to come to school on Monday (17th August 2020) at 9:00 am to collect sanitary towels. Please tell them to inform all adolescent girls learning at Sihay Primary School not to miss out on the opportunity.

We are glad and most particularly grateful to God for his abundant grace by which he has shielded and kept healthy all our candidates and all the teachers. We continue praying for God's grace during this period that our schools remain closed.

Our assessment and testing homestudy program has of late slowed down slightly in order to give time for our candidates to research and revise the first two sets of papers that they did.
Please parents encourage the children to do a detailed research and thorough revision of the marked papers as they prepare for their final exam.

07/06/2020

Let's all keep praying and supporting the school programmes as we continue waiting for the government's back to school formula.
Let us also encourage our children to continue with their studies and not to forget that they are candidates.

07/06/2020

The class teacher has just informed us that he has fixed the technical issue he had and will again engage the parents and stakeholders very actively on whatsapp

02/06/2020

The class teacher is currently unable to post regular updates on whatsapp or even to react to questions posted on the same platform due to the loss of his phone.
We highly regret this hitch and hope that he will be able to acquire another phone soon in order to restore the free flow of information as had been established.

31/05/2020

Our testing program will take a brief lull to allow our candidates research and revise the marked papers for both series one and two.
However, during that period there will continue to be active interaction on our WhatsApp platform

26/05/2020

After collecting the series 02 Maths and Science papers for marking, the already marked series 01 papers were all returned to the candidates except Maths whose making is still ongoing.

20/05/2020

Our candidates are expected to hand in their series 2 Maths and Science papers for marking this Friday at 2:30pm. Meanwhile, they will also pick all their marked series one papers to go and do corrections/revision.

20/05/2020

Our home study program continues with the language papers ( English 20/02 n Kiswahili 20/02) expected to be at the cyber by tomorrow ( Thursday) evening.

18/05/2020

Hello precious parents,
I will be in Sihay to collect the Maths and Science papers (series 2 assessment) as well as to organize for the production of English and Kiswahili on either Wednesday or Thursday this week. There will be a more accurate communication tomorrow after I confirm my program.
