🍻MEET THE BREWER: PROJEKT BREWS (Kampot)🍻
Projekt Brews was started by Johan Larsson and Harry Walton back in 2020 as a side project brewing beers for their own respective businesses. It has since grown and grown until last year when they decided to shut them down to fully concentrate on the brewery. They have since increased production massively and had recently opened their own taproom, Projekt Taps in the center of Kampot. This is their 3rd participation in Monkey Republic's Kampot Beer Festival, and we are so proud to have them on board once again.

You may be wondering how sausages got the nickname "bangers." Well, it all started during World War I, when meat shortages resulted in the use of fillers (mostly water) in meat. Because of the high water content and tight casings, the sausages would explode during cooking. The term had become so widely spread by World War II and continues until this day. But now, most people only use the term to refer to 'bangers and mash'.
We serve this comforting and iconic dish here at Monkey Republic for breakfast and lunch. Come and try it out!

The 🍻KAMPOT CRAFT BEER FESTIVAL REPUBLIC🍻, the most anticipated annual event, is back for the third year in a row! This festival, hosted by yours truly, will be held on FEBRUARY 25th from 2pm onwards.
The creators of Cambodia's finest artisanal brews are returning to Kampot for the most exciting gathering of the year. As always, Kampot revelers and craft beer enthusiasts can expect all-day fun in the sun with special music performances🎶and the finest cocktails provided once again by Phnom Penh-based spirit distillery, Seekers🍹.
