Lonely lady on the Phnom Penh Riverside - June 2010

Back to , thanks to that gave me another opportunity to work on this peculiar kind of photography that I love and enjoy very much, even if it is a bit out of my "photography comfort zone". That is a good way to improve! Pushing ourselves out of our "easy place"!

This time we shoot in , at the gorgeous space that is Theam's Gallery, Siem Reap . It is much more than a "simple" art gallery: it is also a museum, an atelier, a florid tropical garden, a place where memory is importantly preserved... and a very beautiful venue full of pleasant surprises in each and every corner. And I can assure you, beautiful corners they have plenty! Thank you to Theam and Lim for always welcoming us so warmly 🙏🏻

The gorgeous lady you see in this picture is Seck . This young lady is not only a very lovely, beautiful and talented model. She'a delight to work with!

Thank you to my friend Kodi Hudson that helped me all afternoon with the reflector: without him this picture wouldn't look the same!

Last but not least, thanks to my collegue that was a precious help, as usual!

Still talking about Cambodian Roads!

This picture was taken on an afternoon of June 2010, on the Cambodian National Road 6, somewhere between Phnom Penh and Siem Reap. The bus stopped for a quick break and it was time for students to get out of school and riding back home, amongst cows, trucks, buses and many other moving things. I then stood on the side of the dusty road and took this picture.

That bus was driving me to discover for the first time Siem Reap, temple town, Angkor Wat. I didn't know and could never imagine at the time I took this picture , that I was about to discover the place I would have called "home" for the next 12 years to come.
A hurricane was about to scatter my routine and put my life upside down.

The result of that journey is what I lived in the past 12 years. The life I have today.
A life full of passion and love, with many ups and downs, lots of surprises, unexpected meetings, lucky coincidences, great opportunities, few big let downs, big challenges , lucky meetings, some mistakes, strong friendships and... a family! For all of that I am thankful and grateful.
