The Angkor English School is a non-profit organization located in Phum Boengdonpa , Sankat Slakram, Krong Siem Reap-Angkor. It was founded by Cambodian National named Sokhom Khit since February 2010. It is a free school of English and Japanese lessons to poor children and adolescent, active in the Siem Reap region in Cambodia, and focuses on education.

This is our second home.

Our Story
Khit and his wife got married in January 2010. their dream is to bring poor and vulnerable Cambodian kids together to meet, talk and enjoy playing together as well as to give the free foreign language of English and Japanese. First they started a small classroom in May 2010 by renting a small piece of land and also nearby place to live. The school is simple with only roof, no table and wall. The students did enjoy sitting on the ground and study. The school is located around 15 minutes from the city center.
In July 2012, they have one son and happily live with family and their dream to still continually operating their poor school until present time. The school keeps on providing enrolled more students who attend classes voluntarily and without cost of them. Thanks to some donation and volunteered, the school continues slowly to reshape with the wall applied and table was placed as well as hundred kids coming to join with us.
Over few years from 2016 until present time ,They have seen the enormous need to help more kids in community who family were dealing with issues associated with extreme poverty together increasing of kids attending school. With fund from old volunteers and different countries, He continued moving to have a wide space to relocate a new school building in the same village. Fortunately, they succeeded; leased and built a new school with four classrooms included the computer room.
