Banteay Kdei
If you are looking for more privacy and less tourists, this temple is for you. Situated in the Angkor city, this temple represents very well the culture and the history of the Angkor, through its architecture.
To tell you more about its history, Banteay Kdei was edified during the reign of Jayavarman VII, during the second part of the 12th century, and was dedicated to the main divinity of its Kingdome : Bodhisattva Avalokitesvara. Unfortunately, when he died, many temples, included this one, were looted and abandoned, what explains why they are today not well preserved. However, Banteay Kdei still has its part of myth and history that you will have the opportunity to observe through its sculptures.
