💂‍♀️Mellor-72 💂is an almost exact reproduction of the first watch sold by Cabot Watch Company CWC 1972.  Ray Mellor a former sailor in the Merchant Marine during World War II was managing director of Hamilton Watch Company in the UK during the 1960s. In the early 1970s Hamilton Watch Company faced with the quartz crisis and the consolidation of the Swiss watch industry dissolved its UK operations. Mellor saw an opportunity and used his experience and contacts in Switzerland to found Cabot Ray Mellor. The Mellor-72 is a fitting tribute to him from Cabot Watch Company CWC.
