UK Government quarantine update for inbound passengers.

As we continue to adapt to the evolving requirements surrounding travel, we would like to reiterate the latest information which will impact all passengers travelling into the UK.

The UK Government this week announced further measures at the UK border effective as of 15 February 2021. These include:

Government secured hotel isolation requirement for all arrivals from the 33 countries on the UK government's red list
Passengers arriving from all countries will be required to take Covid-19 tests on day 2 and day 8 of their quarantine period
Significant penalties imposed if passengers do not accurately disclose they are returning from a red list country
These measures are in addition to the current requirements for mandatory pre-flight Covid-19 testing.

The Scottish Government also announced that all inbound passengers whose journey originated internationally, including those transiting via an airport in England, will be required to undergo supervised hotel quarantine for 10 days.

Anyone arriving into England who has visited or been in transit through one of the red list countries in the last 10 days will be required to purchase a quarantine package (which will include the government approved accommodation, Covid-19 testing facilities and assigned transportation). Details about the quarantine package and the link to the online booking portal can be found here (https://www.gov.uk/guidance/booking-and-staying-in-a-quarantine-hotel-when-you-arrive-in-england).
British Airways will be required to ask impacted passengers for proof of their quarantine package booking at check-in and may deny boarding if this is not provided. For more information, please visit the UK Government’s website.

Booking and staying in a quarantine hotel when you arrive in England How to book a place in a quarantine hotel and arrange coronavirus (COVID-19) tests if you're travelling to England from a country on the banned travel list.

Starting from 28 December 2020, all passengers that are 6 years old and older will be required to submit a negative PCR Test result done within the last 72-Hours prior to their entrance to Turkey. Passengers that do not show negative PCR Test result will not be accepted to flight.

This requirement is applicable also for transit and transfer passengers.

These measures will be in force until 1 March 2021.
