Stuck at home and feeling unproductive? We encourage you to participate in the MIT Lebanon Challenge 2020.
It is a 48-hour virtual hackathon designed to unite diverse minds in addressing the country’s most pressing challenges. In a hackathon, innovators come together for a certain period of time to collaborate on a project that tackles a certain problem. In our hackathon, we aim to find solutions for the main problems Lebanon is currently going through. In collaboration with many partners, we aim to turn the most practical ideas post the hackathon to life.

MSFEA at the American University of Beirut (AUB) is joining the fight against Covid-19! Under the supervision of Dr. Mohammad Harb and with the dedication of several MSFEA students, the CovidFabLab team was able to iteratively design and test N-95 masks using locally-sourced materials and AUB’s Red Room 3D printing facility. The design will soon be available online for 3D printing and will help protecting frontline medical workers at AUB Medical Center and worldwide!
We’d like to thank the Covid19FabLab for their commitment in advancing the fight against Covid-19 and addressing the shortage of N95 masks: Omar Labban, Perla Chaar, Hassan Ajami , Carl Daniel, Ibrahim ElKhatib,

E-Fests is going Digital!!

ASME Engineering Festivals®️ (or E-Fests) are regional events for engineering students that include design competitions, career development workshops, access to thought leaders and innovators in various engineering fields, and networking opportunities.
