Sometimes CHANGE is taking one step back to take two steps forward. Exactly 2 years ago, I moved to Paris, convinced I was taking a step back. I integrated a 3rd year bachelor class to do the diploma’s equivalence. I was very resistant to it, since I already had my bachelors and my master’s degrees.

There’s no denying that life is unpredictable and we’re forced to make a change we didn’t really prepare for or expect. We change jobs, we change friends, we move to another country or we find ourselves in unfamiliar circumstances.

These things force you to change something that you weren’t ready to change. I wasn’t ready to close my clinic, which I built from scratch and wanted to grow.

When I had to move to Paris, I said goodbye to my clinic and I wasn’t ready to start a new one all over again. I’ve been doing replacements in Paris ever since because I was disappointed and didn’t have the energy to build something that’s my own.

However, there’s one good thing about change, it’s that you get to move on from your past and start building a new future.

Change brings opportunity, renewal and transformation. It can also bring you one step closer to a more rewarding life because sometimes little changes lead to big results. Change can be beautiful. Anddd….

is officially relocating 🎉🎉 Stay tuned for more !

& I would like to thank each and every one who supported me since day one ❤️

Much love

Fine motor skills difficulties ✨

Facing a difficult task, playing it or doing it together will not only motivate your child, but also build a strong relationship with your child.

Here’s an easy way to work on fine motor skills at home. Taking turns, put/remove pegs on/from each other’s clothes. You can also work on naming body parts (remove one from my back, on my elbow etc).

By breaking down the task into smaller activities, students are less likely to feel overwhelmed by the overall objective.

This drawing is just a simple example. It could be applied everywhere (routine, studying, etc) 💫

Masks can create a real challenge for people with hearing disabilities.

Inclusive masks aren’t just for people who are deaf or hard of hearing - everyone benefits from being able to see when others smile 😊

Today was the last day before the Autumn’s vacation, and obviously, today’s theme was Halloween 🎃 👻!! Here’s an origami bat 🦇

Origami has been studied as a tool for children to develop spatial and perception skills, refine manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination, as well as improve concentration and planification skills 💪🏻

It is accessible anywhere, I never use origami papers. All I do is ask the child which animal he or she wants and google the steps. It can be a picture that includes the steps or a video. Note that choosing the level according to the child is important.

We also did crafts such as halloween lanterns and spooky paper garlands. DM to get the links for the activities ☺️

As I usually like to share with you some moments of my journey, I would like to tell you what happened to me almost two months ago.

On the day of my second injection, I posted a poll joking about the “cocktail I took”. It actually ended badly.

5 hours after my Pfizer injection, I started loosing my breath. I was working at the hospital so I felt safe. Afterwards, I asked my friend to sleep over because I was afraid of not breathing properly.

I had two days later, my last and most important oral exam ( I didn’t have the choice to move the injection date). I studied for it at home while feeling heaviness on my chest.

On the day of my exam, I woke up with chest pain. I passed the exam while shivering and feeling dizzy. Luckily it was at the hospital.

The second I finished it, I went directly to the ER and didn’t get out, until 7 hours after.

After several blood tests, pcr, ECGs, heart echoes and scanners, I found out I had an acute pericarditis. It is an inflammation of my heart’s membrane.

It’s been two difficult months, actually finishing my last/third month of treatment. Regardless of how I feel about everything that happened, what happened is very very rare. But it is there. These rare heart problems are affecting young and adolescents.

I am not writing this to scare you, nor to tell you to take/or not the vaccine, nor to tell you that I am with/against the vaccine.

I am writing this to tell you that someone like me (medical field) didn’t even know that, all along, it was my heart that was hurting and not my lungs! And I thought it was a side effect that will go away 24 or 48 hours later…

I am writing this to tell you to watch out for the young, whose turn is coming for the injections. Please watch out for what they are saying or feeling after taking the vaccine.

I hope this message will serve it’s purpose❤️
I hope no one goes through this ❤️

PS: it is not about mixing the vaccines, it’s Pfizer. And I have no hereditary or biological antecedents of heart problems.

A moment that marked us forever, whether were in Beirut or not, whether we lost someone or not, whether we got physically hurt or not.

I wonder if I will ever heal.
I wonder if the pain will go away.
I wonder why did we have to go through this.
I wonder if I will ever stop losing my breath when I hear a loud noise or when glass breaks.
I wonder if children are able to cope since that moment.
I wonder how everyone is doing.
I wonder if I am over sensitive.

This moment is and will always be a part of us and a part of who we are today. Yes, we are still hurting. We need JUSTICE.

You are in my thoughts and prayers 🙏🏻❤️

2-3-2021 - Vaccinated against Covid-19 🦠

I hesitated before posting this “typical vaccine picture”. However, this picture is a milestone to my journey, and I want it to be memorable.

This shot gave me hope, a breath. Now I feel less anxious to visit my 90 y/o grandma, to work with elderly patients and to start working in a Hospital (very soon).

I always knew that if I ever get Covid and pass it on to anyone by mistake, I’ll be overwhelmed with guilt.

I also want to spread the word, because most of the paramedical students I know in France are not aware that we are allowed to get vaccinated since February. DM me for more details 💌

Here’s to hope & new beginnings ❤️

PS: I might regret being this positive tonight, waiting for the side effects to kick in 😂
