Ours were on CAIRS & customized laser surgery for Keratoconus, CLEAR lenticule surgery, AI model to diagnose Keratoconus based solely on pachymetry, and more. Check out our publication in this issue of the Journal of Cataract and Refractive Surgery. We evaluated the repeatability of pyramidal aberrometry in highly aberrated eyes of Keratoconus patients and compared it to normal eyes. Conclusion: You can confidently perform ocular wavefront-guided laser treatments on Keratoconus eyes.

I was delighted to participate in the British Society for Refractive Surgery in Oxford, UK. It was a privilege to share my experience in CAIRS for keratoconus, CLEAR lenticule surgery, customized laser ablation, how to deal with ICRS complications, and OCT technology. I also gained invaluable insights from incredibly smart international and UK colleagues. Many thanks to Colm McAlinden and Valerie Saw, President of BSRS, for the kind invitation.

An immaculately organized 30th annual Lebanese Ophthalmological Society meeting with world-renowned speakers, well-rounded moderators, and perfectly curated content.

Check out our latest publication in the Journal of Refractive Surgery! We've developed a deep learning convolutional neural network model trained on synthetic generative adversarial network-generated OCT scans to measure the actual ICL vault accurately. This model was validated and tested on real OCT scans, yielding enhanced measurements in extreme vault values. Special thanks to Jad F. Assaf and Hady Yazbeck for their leadership in designing and implementing this study, along with our international collaborators Dan Reinstein, Timothy Archer, Juan Arbelaez, and Maria Clara Arbelaez, and our core team members Yara Bteich and Anthony Abou Mrad.

A wonderful Emirates Society of Ophthalmology meeting in Abu Dhabi with excellent organization and top-notch sessions. My contribution was 6 talks encompassing CAIRS & customized laser treatments in Keratoconus, Lenticule surgery (KLEx) for myopia/astigmatism, and PTK.

This year’s Schwind eye-tech-solutions GmbH laser user meeting in Dubai was a landmark event with record attendance! It was an incredible experience packed with cutting-edge scientific information, surgical expertise, and groundbreaking innovations.

Thrilled to be recognized as a Gold Reviewer by the Journal of Refractive Surgery for the fourth year in a row. A heartfelt thank you for this honor and for the opportunity to contribute to the advancement of our field.

In the latest issue of CRSToday, we feature our article, "Therapeutic Refractive Surgery for Keratoconus: The Time is Now." This piece showcases the evolution in battling keratoconus, moving from traditional corneal surgery to the forefront of refractive surgery. The article draws inspiration from renowned refractive surgery experts worldwide, including Dan Reinstein, Samuel Arba Mosquera, Damien Gatinel, Soosan Jacob, Anastasios John Kanellopoulos, Farhad Hafezi, and Rohit Shetty, among many other gifted peers. Their collective contributions have significantly propelled the progress in the science of therapeutic refractive surgery. Another outstanding Cross-linking experts meeting in Zurich. Was happy to give the Schwind course on customized laser treatment in Keratoconus for the 7th year in a row alongside Farhad Hafezi, Thomas Magnago, Emilio Torres Léonard Kollros, and talk about OCT in CXL and femto CAIRS & CXL+. Learned a lot from gurus like Rohit Shetty, Cynthia Roberts, Steve Klyce, Michael Belin, Guillermo Amescua, Pooja Khamar, Brad Randleman, Paolo & Riccardo Vinciguerra, Robert Herber, Francesco Versaci, Efekan Coskunseven, and many other colleagues with superb knowledge and incredible research.

A wonderful scientific program by the International Keratoconus Society and by the MEACO/MIOC in beautiful and pristine Oman. Glad to talk about customized laser ablation in Keratoconus, CAIRS, and CLEAR KLEX procedure for myopia and astigmatism.

An outstanding EPOMEC congress in Dubai with record attendance. My contribution included talks and moderation on customized laser correction in Keratoconus, refractive surgery, and wetlabs on CAIRS (surgeon-trephined and KeraNatural).

A great AECOS meeting in Florence. A program packed with cutting-edge innovations, ready-to-apply tips, and a glimpse into the near future of cataract & refractive surgery. My contributions were the latest results of CLEAR Lenticule extraction procedure for myopia and astigmatism and CAIRS implantation for Keratoconus.

A wonderful experience participating in the ESOIRS in Alexandria. All my appreciation to Professor Mohamed Shafik for his invitation. Had fun discussing CAIRS, Custom PRK & CXL, and my new TSP index for early detection of Keratoconus on the Galilei tomographer.

Our AI deep learning ICL vault calculation study just published in the American Journal of Ophthalmology.
