The Shelter

We are seeking an experienced and jovial individual to join our team. You will greet customers, learn about their preferences, answer questions, recommend menu items, and prepare and serve beverages as they are ordered.
You can also upsell items, create recipes, utilize proper equipment and ingredients, and handle basic cleaning duties.
To succeed as a bartender, you should have a neat appearance and an engaging, friendly personality. You should be efficient, observant, knowledgeable, and personable.

Duties and Responsibilities
• Preparing alcoholic or non-alcoholic beverages for customers.
• Serving responsibilities, such as taking orders, interacting with customers, and taking orders to customers as requested.
• Ensuring all patrons are the appropriate age.
• Maintain positive customer relationships .
• Making recommendations to customers for drinks and snacks to improve their customer experiences.
• Stocking bar supplies as needed.
• Assist team with end-of-night clean-up as needed.


Requirements and Qualifications
• At least 24 years age.
• Positive, engaging personality and professional appearance.
• Knowledge of commonly mixed cocktail recipes preferred.
• Ability to work nights/weekends, flexible schedule preferred.
• Effective communication skills and ability to prioritize tasks.
• Friendly disposition and customer service skills.
• Ability to work as part of a team as well as independently.
• Should keep work station clean at all times.
• Ability to manage unruly customers, including cutting off customers from drinks, if needed.
• Should be able to lift a minimum of 25 pounds.
